And here's the story~
"Coon! Wait up!" Kiendra's cries ring out in Alistair Cooney's ears as his one true friend falls back. He can smell their death and sickness catching up to her...
"Kensely! Valli! Go on ahead. We'll catch up." The two female Jellybean Dragons nod with fear and run ahead. Falling back, Coon rushes to Kiendra's side. "Hurry!" He says gruffly, pulling her arm along, throwing random bits of debris and fallen weapons at the hoards. He finally sees Valli's face in sight, beckoning him into an abandoned warehouse. Quickly he dashes in, and Kensley slams the door shut, locking in and then proceeding to pile up various junk in front of it for extra protection.
"W-who are you?" A timid voice calls from the corner. Coon recognized that voice.
"Tez?" Valli called into the darkness. The purple-striped JBD stepped out of the shadows with a rusted spear in his hands. Coon noted that it hadn't used it yet, but that look in his eyes told him that he would if he had to. Then Tez saw him.
"Alistair!" Dropping the spear, he rushed to Coon's side and started jabbering on and on about what had happened. Coon despised this guy, but he couldn't let him die here. Soon the door broke down. Their sickly faces made Coon almost see his lunch again. But I didn't actually have lunch... That's not important! Think Alistair! Coon looked over at the petrified faces of Kensley, Kiendra, Valli, and Tez. "PleaseletmecomewithyouI'mtooyoungtodieIpromiseIwon'tmesswithyouanymoreortalktoyouor..." Tez started to rant on.
"You know, I really hate you." Coon said. "But I can't let you die. Hurry up." Coon pushed everyone towards the ladder that led to the top of the roof. The mobs surrounded Coon and his friends and enemy. Suddenly, it hit him. He knew what to do.
He was just messing around and never meant for it to happen! Coon was reading a book about (you guessed it) the zombie apocalypse. He especially liked this one because someone revives the dead, and the only way to stop the chaos was if the person who revived the zombies died. Of course, Coon thought it would be better if the mage was turned into a zombie instead, then none of it would be resolved. Putting on his hat and scarf, Coon went out for a walk. On his way through the park, he ran into Kiendra, the only bean he could call a friend. "Kiendra," Coon said, sitting on the bench with her, "If anything bad were to happen-"
"-an apocalypse, maybe-" Kiendra inserted.
"-would you stick by me?"
Kiendra looked a bit confused. "Well, of course I would, but why are you asking that?"
"Just wondering. Thanks for the conversation." Coon then promptly got up and kept walking. Then he came to the place he wanted to be. The cemetery. Walking in and closing the gate behind him, a strong wind ruffled Coon's fur as he stood in front of the cemetery. "Rise, my dead minions! Et comedetis ipsum!" He looked around... and nothing happened. Those were the words from the book though, Coon thought, walking away. Of course, he expected that it wouldn't work, but he was a little disappointed. Then there were screams. And blood. Coon whirled around in fear. He had commenced the zombie apocalypse. He ran to collect Kiendra, Kensley, and Valli. Even though two of them he wasn't sure on, he couldn't let them suffer that fate. Grabbing Kiendra's arm on the way back to his house, he led her inside.
"Owwww, what was that for?" She mutters, rubbing her arm.
"Are you blind, woman?! The zombie apocalypse has started! We have to survive!" Coon raised his voice at her. In no time, Valli and Kensley made it over. But just barely. The paws were banging on the door; it wasn't going to hold for long. Coon grabbed his bow and arrows. He looked towards Valli. "You open the door, I'll shoot." Valli nodded and let the door open. All heck broke loose in that household that day. The four made it out with their lives. Switching from house to house, the foursome came to the roof of the warehouse.
Coon remembered the book. "Goodbye, my friends." He said, attempting to blink away tears. Kiendra knew what was happening. She had tears dripping down her face. She couldn't say anything, and he knew it. Walking to the end of the roof, he looked down at the growing mobs. Good thing he chose a good building. "Slán, my friends."
And he fell.
