What is an Astrian?
An Astrian is a German Shepard-sized wolf-bird hybrid. Scientists hundreds of years back became stranded on an island after an unexpected storm, leaving them with nothing but minimal lab equipment and the clothes on their backs. As a last struggle, the scientists desperately tried to mutate the wolves on the island into something that could fly them to safety. Succeeding, but to find the mutant species' wings were too small to carry others. Astrian's now rule the island they were created on, with no desire to escape. They each have a silver chain with a feather on the end, reminding them of their roots and their freedom. They prey on the same animals as normal wolves would, and usually stay in packs of 3-4, however loners are not uncommon. Some have recently been spotted with larger wings, however these are very uncommon and have only been seen with natural colors.
