Stormy thoughts cloud the sun,
Shading my eyes from light.
It feels like it's always been raining,
Almost giving up, but never quite.

As I wander into the storm,
I fly with the wind, forever drifting.
Feathers caress my blank, blank mind,
Whispering, changing, always shifting.

My guardian watches above the storm,
His wings wafting feathers toward me.
He sends me thoughts of warmer days,
There's no kinder being than he.

For he is I, and I am him,
He is the hope trapped in my blank, blank mind.
While he watches over in my heart,
I'll never be left behind.
