I really like how the clouds are shaded. c: I may work on making them a little less uniform looking in shape to be more like real clouds, but the shading is a nice way to go so far.
I like the grass blades too. o: I understand doing some parts here and there instead of grass on the whole thing, but I would make them look more like patches instead of a straight line. Basically, same deal with the clouds: More shape, less uniform.
My main critique will be on the figure. This body looks pretty stiff, and I would practice more with anatomy to help the bodies seem like they have (or can have) more movement. There are also a few anatomical mistakes as well, such as the neck being rather short and the arms connecting in a strange way to the torso. The perspective on the back legs is a bit off too, but that's a real toughie. :<
The hand coming toward us has a rather short palm and not very uniform fingers as well.I can't see the other hand very well, but it looks like there's too many fingers that would be visible with the arm at that angle. It looks like the hand is turned outwards, while the arm remains at rest. If she wasn't using that arm at all, like it appears here, the hand would be more at her side.
The hair doesn't look like it has much movement. Parts of it are moving, yes, but the strands are very thick and stiff. There would be more flow to the hair. (If the character just has a sort of spiky or layered hairstyle, thinner and more unified strands would better give that look.)
My last critique on the body is in body language. For a dramatic scene, she doesn't seem to think so. She's sitting up straight and just reaching a hand out, but then her expression makes me think she's rather upset. Whatever is leaving, her expression makes me think she cares enough about it that she may even be crawling toward it instead of just sitting there. Her facial expression may be a bit different too, such as a wide mouth because it looks like she may be shouting.
And finally from personal experience: I advise you stay away from anime-based tutorials, at least a bit. If you want to work on drawing bodies, look up "bodies" instead of "anime bodies". Learn about what you're styling, then apply this to an anime style you'd want to imitate. (Or better yet, cook up your own! o: ) It will help you to stylize better if you see techniques for more realistic styles, because you'll have a better idea of how to distort certain features and make them look purposeful.
Hope this helps! c: Sorry it's such a novel. xD
