What is a Kora?
A Kora is a large feline largely resembling a leopard or lion. All Koras have a fluffy dorsal mane, starting from the end of the tail and ending at the crown of the head, falling over the face. Their faces are broad, like a lion, but they have wider eyes adapted to seeing in the dark. Koras have large, tufted tails. We have yet to know what the purpose of such an ornamental tail would be. Koras have long, waterproof fur, good for keeping out water and unfavorable temperatures. Much like their ancestors, the cheetah, snow leopard, and lion, all Koras have spots almost covering their bodies. Occasionally they may be more sparse, but they will always have them for the purpose of camouflage in their harsh wild habitat.

All Koras are given a necklace with a large pendant when they reach the age of two years. This pendant fits their looks and usually says something about their personality as well. The necklaces are custom colored to match or accent the fur color of the particular Kora wearing it.

Feather. A simple yet beautiful name.

Gentle and kind, Feather gets along with everyone. Though she hardly speaks, her eyes and her movements say more than any words could. She's very expressive through her body language to the point that there is no doubt on what she is trying to convey.
Story:
When born, Feather was a beautiful little cub. However, when she first opened her mouth, it was quite clear she was different. Feather's vocal chords had not fully developed, and when she tried to make a sound, a very low, gravelly sound ensued. After being embarrassed multiple times by these sounds that she made, Feather stopped talking completely. Though she may say a few words here and there, her voice is rather shocking and unnerving, something that doesn't match the young beauty. She has resorted to using body language to say what she wants to say, and after a year or so of doing it, she has gotten rather good, and it is now acceptable by those who know her for her to be silent and use her body as her voice.
