An Avaleo is a hybrid of three different species.
Canines, Aves, and Leos.
Dogs/wolves, birds, and lions.

They always have at least one trait of each of these different groups.

they are endurance runners, and are effortlessly strong.

The manes are used for warmth.
The longer or fluffier a mane is, the colder the climate the Avaleo can live in.
a long maned A can live in warm climates, but they will groom themselves more.

The tail feathers are used for sharp turns and mating rituals.
Males can make there tails stand straight up. females can't do this.
Predictably, the fuller the tail feathers, the more desirable the male partner.
Females tails have half the weight of the males, because they don't use them like the males do.

They have sharp teeth and pointed tongues, but they can eat almost anything.

Avaleos typically have a lion's main, a bird's tail feathers, and the anatomy of a canine.

99/100 Avaleos have a bird's print patterned fur or a lion's pale gold color.
it is rarer to find one that can sprout wings.

Avaleos have a affinity to attractive looking objects, so it is common to find them with odd objects.
They sometimes steal them from humans.

I would name this Avaleo Ayoka . It is a Nigerian name meaning "one who causes joy all around".

Favorite Pass Time:

Ayoka's favorite pass time is to dance. While this may seem like a typical pass time, there is more to it than just the fun for her. You see when Ayoka dances her bells jingle. The sound is light and peaceful and always seems to bring smiles to those around her. She twirls, leaps, wriggles her tail, and stomps her paws as she dances. Most of the time Ayoka doesn't notice that others are watching her. She too gets caught up in the simple magic of it all. The bells create the music needed and she lets the sound guide her through the dance.

Why the Bells:

The bells were given to her as a gift when she was a pup. At a young age Ayoka was very silent. She could move about and have no one notice her. The bells were given more as a gift to those around her so they could tell when she was getting near. This never bothered Ayoka growing up. Instead she fell in love with the jingling that her silver bells made.

Favorite Pass Time:
I love to sing, being a calm Aveleo singing suites me. It is calming and brings me peace, especially through hard times. I'll sway to the music and ring my bells to a melody. I will then sing along to the melody and close my eyes as I enjoy the sound and singing. One of my favorite songs is 'Oh Come Emmanuel'. What a wonderful tune and melody. The tune is a slow and almost sad one, but yet the words are joyous, such a strange yet amazing mixture.

Personality:
She is sweet, kind and calm. She loves making new friends and enjoys music greatly. She has a natural talent of hearing music and melodies out of just ordinary things. She likes to sit and listen to this music that she hears where ever she goes. When she thinks of her sister she likes to seclude herself though and can be heard singing sad songs, sometimes she is thinking about how she is going to find her sister.

My Bells And Bow
They used to belong to an older sister I once had. I remember that day, full of tears and sorrow. My parents never knew she left on purpose, only that she was gone. They believed her to be dead, kidnapped, murdered or something of the sorts. I was the only one that knew the truth. They thought she just hadn't been wearing the bells the day she disappeared. No, she removed them and gave them to me. She told me never to forget her, never to lose the memories of her that settled in my heart. She then snuck away into the dark of night, away from home and her family. She never told me the reasons for her leaving but I now cherish the bells and bow that were once hers, passed on to me as her precious sister.
To me these bells represent being heard and never lost. I can always be heard like my sister had been, but when removed I am lost, no one can hear me, I am too quiet. These bells are my only chance of ever seeing my sister again, hopefully one day we may see each other again, embrace and talk. I'll be able to feel her love again someday. These bells represent me seeking my sister who left long ago, they represent me finding her, though unless I told you, you would never know.

"Heehee, I'm named after the song, of course! You know it, don't you? It's called 'Carol of the Bells/Sing We Now of Christmas' - it's performed by a band called BarlowGirl."

Why Do You Wear the Bows and Bells?
"It started out as a bet, actually. I've ALWAYS loved velvet bows (silk ones too!) and I often wore them around Christmastime. One year, an annoying boy in my class bet me 50 dollars that I couldn't wear the bows with bells for over 4 months straight - the only times I could take them off was when I got to go swimming, if I had to take a bath or shower, if it was cleaning day (I had to clean my house once a week, you see, and the bows and bells got in the way), and when I had to go to sleep I could take the bells off but not the bows. I did this for 6 months straight, and he lost the bet - I got my 50 dollars back, plus HIS 50 dollars as well. I put the money in my retirement fund and thought nothing more of it - the thing I continued to think about, however, were the bows and bells. I asked myself why I only wore them around Christmastime - why didn't I wear them for other holidays, or just on a day-to-day basis? I never really found an answer for the question, so I asked a new one. Why DON'T I wear them every day? Would it be so bad to wear them every day? What if I got new bows - different colored ones - and bells to match them? What if I could make them into accessories for myself to wear? And that's what made me realize that I didn't care if others made fun of me - I would wear at least one bow and a string of bells every day for an entire year! After that year of mixing and matching different bows and bells, I found I still loved them. I then made a vow that I would wear the bells and bows whenever I wanted to - I vowed that I wouldn't care about what others thought of me, and would wear what I like whenever I wanted to (if the situation was appropriate; I couldn't wear the bows while cleaning, or showering, or swimming, etc.)."

What's Your Favorite Pastime?
"Oh, I love to sing! Christmas carols are my favorite songs to sing - I love the joy and cheer that the lyrics hold, and the happiness that fills the air whenever someone sings these tunes! I also love to drink eggnog - most beings get bored of it after awhile, but I can drink it for days and not have any problems. I love to read and watch movies, too - one of my favorite books is 'An Angel's Story' by Max Lucado, and one of my favorite movies is 'It's a Wonderful Life.'"
