[Pure Dragon]

This guy (or girl) is a wild tree runner who lives in rainforest regions. The dark and light greens help him to blend into foliage and the red attracts prey who are looking for flowers or berries.

This started out as a Chirstmas design, but I wanted it to be a wild tree runner, so I started with a penguin idea and it magically turned into a cheetah based design that, other than red and green, can't really be considered a Christmas one. Oh well! You know what, I could have done a reindeer. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

Anyways! I don't think I've ever mentioned the Tree Runner diet - they are omnivores, with a strong tendency towards meat. Speaking of which... that's the contest! Tell me his/her favorite food and why. It must be something you would find in the wild, like a certain animal, berry, etc. Bonus points for research on prey and/or fruits available in the rainforest. ;3

Favorite food: Salmonberries. This is a common berry found in the rain forests in the Pacific Northwest. While ripe, they look like an orange-colored raspberry. Like most berries, the salmonberry is full of antioxidants. They're ready to be harvested and eaten during the spring. The shoots the berries grow on have a sweet taste and can also be eaten.
