non-animated frames

Deersserts are deer made of ice cream with toppings!
They are obviously icecream,
with hooves made of ice cream cones,
whipped cream tails (don't forget the cherry on top!),
and some have horns and other little toppings added to them.
Deersserts come in a variety of flavors.
The most common being chocolate and vanilla.
Deersserts are about the size of Boarder Collies.

Welcome to the first animated deerssert. This is an idea I've been wanting to try to pull off for a while. This deer is an android. How Sci-Fi-y and exciting.
Honestly created because I've been going through a really rough time and I wanted to make something grayscale, but then with some kind of bright colour to make it seem happy. Voila.
Also, my animating skills are really not anything to write home about, and I animate with GIMP. [Yes, you can laugh]. Soo the colours ended up looking kind of weird, thus I've provided you with the non-animated frames under the image.
There will be a runner-up that is this design but a colour swap.

Deerssert's thoughts about being an AI: she doesn't mind. She thinks that being able to do thinks for herself, even if it is computerized, is better then nothing.
What does the colour-changing mean?: it means it has a lot of different feeling, and instead of keeping them bottled up inside, she lets them flow through her and shows the world what and who she truly is. She's not afraid to stand out.

She is very disdainful at her fate. She just wants to be a normal Deerssert like her kin.
What does the colour-changing mean?:
It reflects her mood. When she wakes up in the morning and right before she falls asleep, her colors switch and collaborate to her mood. It generally reflects happiness, anger, and sadness. When she's happy, her colors are bright and vivid. When she is angry, her colors turn the dark gray hue. When she is sad, they kind of migrate somewhere in the middle.

After the quarian homeworld in the Mass Effect series, which is also the birthplace of the geth; a sapient race of AIs.

Gender:
Agender -- Rannoch is Rannoch, and does not particularly identify with any gender; simply finding the concept... hard to grasp, given that it is a machine, and always been left to its own devices, never knowing its creators or what kind of gender they might have applied. Will accept any pronouns, though personally tends to use 'it'. (Rannoch is also capable of mimicking nearly any voice or tone, but it's usual voice is, in fact, much like Legion's... though a little more static-y.)

Personality:
Rannoch is a curious being, having been built for... well, it isn't quite sure what. All but a few early notes are long gone, its creators have vanished, leaving Rannoch to explore the world alone. Rannoch has found it enjoys quiet places in nature; northern rainforests full of rain and fog (and it is incredibly thankful to its creators for providing such good weatherproofing, lest Rannoch start to rust, or worse, have its circuits fried!), or rocky deserts full of wind and stars. Rannoch loves small creatures, especially fireflies; and other bioluminescent beings-- something about life being able to create its own light in the face of darkness is incredibly inspiring to Rannoch, something it has yet to really learn how to explain.

Deerssert's thoughts about being an AI:
"I am Rannoch. I... know I am not 'real', not like others of my kind. Are they even my kind? It's a question that often runs through my mind during the lonely stretches. At first, I was... unsure about myself. I am artificial. Steel and copper wires under a plastic hide, no warm blood or soft eyes like others I met. They were... frightened. The living. They saw me, heard the static in my voice and the hollow clang of metal hooves against stones. They ran. Some fought, sharp feet and sharp antlers tearing me-- I suspect that contributed to the defects in my camouflage. There were months I spent hidden in caves, in 'sleep'-- I cannot truly sleep, only put myself to barest power and... dream, I suppose. I cannot shut off my thoughts no matter how much I wish-- well. I believe I can, but they would never be able to be turned back on. So the most I can do is let them drift... and it was one of those long nights, drifting in that odd place, that I wondered... perhaps, I wasn't alone? I had only seen a small fraction of the world.

"So I walked. And though my journey is still young, I now know that as an AI? I am simply... different. I have seen a strange deer who glows and sees with his third eye far more than any have seen with merely two. Four siblings that embody the very seasons, each handicapped in some way, but pushing on-- they are life itself, right? What could stop them? Strange deer with pitch-black eyes that never stop weeping, speaking only in whispers; or who seem made of mist and smoke, their form ever changing. They were considered deerserts, were they not, no matter how different they might be?

"So what if I am metal and wire? I think, don't I? I think, I move, so what if I was pieced together in a lab? I am Rannoch, I am an artificial intelligence, but I am alive! I have my soul just as any other creature has theirs, and nothing will convince me otherwise. I do not know my purpose, but I know I can find my own. And in the meantime... I will keep up my journey. The world is vast and grand, and I am uniquely equipped to see more than most ever might. I have-- from all I have observed-- an infinite capacity for perfectly preserved memory. I... I believe, it would be wrong to hide away. I feel it is my duty to see all that can be seen, so the memory of now may persist, even if only in one individual."

What does the colour-changing mean?:
A defective camouflage system. When it first awoke, Rannoch came across some of its very early blueprints in the deserted facility, and several notes referred to a 'false hide of advanced LCDs, capable of mimicking any pattern and/or colors, rendering the deer virtually invisible.' However, whatever happened to make Rannoch wake up early must have prevented the scientists from finishing that feature, as Rannoch is only ever constantly shifting between a few solid hues.



(Muuuh form is done. I wanted to write out a story but I lost all inspiration for it x.x)
