What are they? OuO

An Avaleo is a hybrid of three different species.
Canines, Aves, and Leos.
Dogs/wolves, birds, and lions.

They always have at least one trait of each of these different groups.

they are endurance runners, and are effortlessly strong.

The manes are used for warmth.
The longer or fluffier a mane is, the colder the climate the Avaleo can live in.
a long maned A can live in warm climates, but they will groom themselves more.

The tail feathers are used for sharp turns and mating rituals.
Males can make there tails stand straight up. females can't do this.
Predictably, the fuller the tail feathers, the more desirable the male partner.
Females tails have half the weight of the males, because they don't use them like the males do.

They have sharp teeth and pointed tongues, but they can eat almost anything.

Avaleos typically have a lion's main, a bird's tail feathers, and the anatomy of a canine.

99/100 Avaleos have a bird's print patterned fur or a lion's pale gold color.
it is rarer to find one that can sprout wings.

Avaleos have a affinity to attractive looking objects, so it is common to find them with odd objects.
They sometimes steal them from humans.

Anyways, this one's male or female, based off of a Pileated woodpecker. They always use to fly around my house when I was a kid - they still do actually - so I thought to myself "why not?"
I know the males are mostly this color, but I thought it mite be nice for you to chose a gender to go with him/her.

To win this lovely lad/lady's heart you'll have to give them a few shiny objects to put on their chains, as well as a name and gender!

Avaleo's Name;
Trick, like a trickster, he is the kinda guy who will cheat and scheme people out of their hard earned cash, just for fun....His name was given to him buy his best friend, after a scheme when he somehow tricked him out of about £200, and somehow it just stuck, he cant remember his actual name now and doesnt seem to care...

His final charm is a symbol often associated with dark magic and summoning rituals... its meant to be a sign that the person welcomes sin into their life... like Trick does
