About

Palette Ibizans are a variety of the Ibizan Hound variety of dog.

The Ibizan Hound is an elegant and agile breed, with an athletic and attractive outline and a ground-covering springy trot. Though graceful in appearance, it has good bone girth and is a rugged/hardy breed. Its large upright ears - a hallmark of the breed - are broad at the base and frame a long and elegant headpiece. The neck is long and lean. It has a unique front assembly with well laid-back shoulders and relatively straight upper arm. Their eyes have an alert and intelligent expression.

The Ibizan may range in height, depending on which Standard you follow, from 22 to 29 inches (56 to 74 cm) and weigh from 45 to 65 pounds (20 to 29 kg), males being larger than females. Average litter sizes are around 2-3 puppies.

Palette Ibizans come in any coat color variety, while Ibizans only come in variations of red and white.

Breeding

Each month, hounds age by one year. PM me to edit the age on your hound's page! All hounds start of at one year old when adopted.
Once hounds reach two years old, they can start to breed!
Fill out the following form, and 1-4 puppies will be born!
You may breed between users, just make you get permission first (and show proof of this). Each user will be able to keep up to two babies if desired. PM each other to decide who gets who.
Unwanted babies can be adopted out or gifted to another user (with my permission).

Kennels

Once you have adopted some hounds, it is recommended that you open a kennel page to help organize them.
