Dolphguin Artist Competition

Postby shield » Sat Dec 14, 2013 6:49 am

What is a Dolphguin?
A Dolphguin is a dolphin like penguin with a dolphins tail and back fin, they all have a mane which is a trait bred out of their DNA. Their diet consists of fish and shrill, they eat similar foods that dolphins would. They can be very mellow before they get to know you, can you achieve a bond with a Dolphguin?

COMPETITION RULES

• These lines are for this competition and this competition only. This means;
-you may not use the designs you create for OCs if you don't win
-you may not sell any of the designs created for this competition
-you may not use the lines to color in your owned Dolphguins if you don't win, there's no way your design will become a real Dolphguin (even if you do win, no promises)
• Don't copy designs. Don't steal designs that have been created anywhere, for this competition or not.
• You may enter as many times as you want. You may make as many line edits as long as it does not take any natural features away but you must have at least one non-line edited entry if you do so
• No harassing or rudeness. No matter if someone is bothering you for whatever reason, take it up with me if its really worth it.
• Don't have someone else design for you.
• Do not complain on other people's entries and say, "Oh, I should just give up now cause I know I have no chance against you." It's hurtful, it can be offensive, and it doesn't make the artist feel very good.
• You may enter with your own custom lines. But you must have at least one entry without them
• I will be giving out spots as artists and guest artist
• I will give out spots as a nursery growth artist or nursery artist when it opens
• Make sure to follow all of the species' guidelines on the main adopt thread.
• Don't make super dramatic line edits (example a missing leg or no fins. Those are not okay)
• If you have questions, post here, don't PM someone please.

ARTIST RULES
if you become an artist these are the stuff you gotta do c:

• Check the main Dolphguin thread for updates at least once every 3 days
• Create at least one Dolpguin every 2 weeks, unless you have told me that you are going to be gone
• Do not judge with any bias, if a friend enters your contest, please ask for guest judges
• Ask me before making any drastic line edits
• Be willing to help other artists judge their contests
• Please don’t stream more than one design per month
• Keep in mind that line edits should be rare
• Try to make a variety of designs
• Every once in a while do design ideas that members suggest
• Keep other staff informed about re-adoptions, revamps, and other member concerns
• Feel free to ask any staff about ideas for designs and fun Dolphguins to make
• Uphold the integrity of the staff as a whole, following all rules and in general acting in a mature, respectful, excellent manner
• Answer any questions should members have them

Yes, there is a form. You must fill this out in your first entry, and if you enter more than once, just state in your description that you've already filled out a form. No need to put it more than once!

why do you want to be an artist;;
I enjoy doing designs and I would love to be part of something bigger than just doing my own characters. I feel this would be a good way to get my artistic skills out into the world.

how often do you spend on the computer each day;;
Atleast an hour on weekdays; weekends will vary.

would you be able to keep up with all the artist duties;; (found in the competition post)
I feel I would be able to accomplish these duties with ease.

would you be loyal and active as a Dolphguin artist;;
I wouldn't have it any other way.

would you happen to be a person who (if asked) would want to be a nursery growth or regular nursery artist;;
I would love to work as a nursery artist
