What is the significance of the Silver bells? Well, "Silver Bells" the song started out "Tinkle Bells", until the writers realized "Tinkle" had a double meaning. Also, the silver bells where reported to be inspired by the bells on Santa's reindeer and by the Salvation Army bell ringers.
