Missy's Deathbed

Postby ThewolfMissy » Fri Nov 29, 2013 6:23 am

Missy stood still, her tail lashing and her paws planted firmly on ground. Her breath caught in her throat and her eyes narrowed. Then it happened; A large paw slashed down on her and in an instant she was on the ground.

Thud.

Missy let out a scream in pain. She felt her wounds pouring. She felt her eyes stinging. She knew she was badly hurt. Missy closed her eyes and tried to breath, trying to keep herself calm. But she knew what was coming. She was ready. She was prepared. She wouldn't have changed her decision for anything. Missy would never let harm come to any of her pups, even if they were full grown.

Missy expected to feel teeth rip her throat open. She expected to be tossed about like a chew toy. But it never came. She slowly forced her eyes open and whined at the pain. Missy made herself look at the sight in front of her and was surprised at the sight. All three of her pups, her mate, her beta's, and even rival pack members were attacking the beast furiously, snarling and growling in anger.

Missy went to stay something, but she suddenly felt like time stood still. A bright light seemed to shine down the sky and landed on her wounded body. Missy winced as she lifted her head up to glance at the sky. Dark clouds everywhere, each one pouring rain and sounding like drums. She felt confused at the sight of the light, but then a single voice seemed to float directly into her head.

"It is time. Your mission is completed, and the battle is won. It is time to come home."

Missy felt her eyes fill with tears and she gasped. It was the one voice she hadn't heard since she was a pup, but missed terribly. "Father," she exclaimed in a soft voice.

Just as quick as the vision happened, it was gone. Missy no longer saw the light or heard her father's voice; She only saw the beast lying dead on the battle field. They did it, she thought. "The battle is won, your mission is completed. It is time to come home," the words of her father repeated in her head.

Missy felt relief filling in her chest. She had suffered a lot in her life, a lot more than most wolves have had to. Now she could go on and be with her family once more. Missy turned her eyes on the sight of her pups and mate running toward her, shouting for her.

Missy felt tears stream down her face and she allowed her head to fall back on the ground. She felt ready, but she didn't want to leave her pups, or the love of her life behind. But she knew that it was time to say good-bye, and it would be the most painful experience of her life.

In hindsight to saying good-bye, dying seemed easy.

Woo, gotta love depressing stories and pictures on a holiday! Lol

I actually am in a great mood, but have been wanting to get this picture done for a long while now.

Yeah, this is my fursona.

Yeah, this is basically how she dies. Yes, in my series she does die. I mean, no one lives forever, especially animals.

Line-art: NOT MINE!
