Mistykit opens her eyes for the first time. She stretches out her short little body and yawns revealing her sharp milk teeth. The little she-kit looks up at her mother Fawnstripe and grins. "Can I go to the elders den now Fawnstripe?" She asks politely. Her mother thinks for a moment then gives her a little nod but warns her to not be too bothersome. Mistykit purrs in delight and bounds off towards the den.

When Mistykit reaches the den she is greeted by the two elders Darkclaw and Brownpelt. They wave their tails in a happy greeting. "Have you come for a story today Mistykit?" Brownpelt asks, "Yes! Tell the one about Tigerstar!" Mistykit squeaks. The she-cat thinks for a moment then starts to tell the tale. "Well, it all started long ago when a kittypet named Rusty came into the clans. Now, this was many, many moons ago and..."
