Her pelt may be painted the darker shades of nature but not her personality. At first glance many will address her as he but are soon corrected as a feminine voice answers them. Quick to correct them she is queen of her domain, born to speak her mind, though this often comes off as bullheaded and pushy. Use to the assumptions of others she has, inadvertently, melded into the view others have had of her, a Tom Mako. Her initial presentation to new people is often harsher then intended, and can come off as being blunt causing many to give her a wide berth calling her weird and strange. When she first addresses others she lacks the social edict that most grow up with. Unlike others who will introduce themselves and then ask the name of the other slowly starting a conversation that gives very little if nothing about the personal life of the other Andy will walk up, give another her name, say some random seemingly deep personal thing, and expect to be friends. Of curse this weirds out those she addresses which is the cause of her outsider life style. Inwardly it hurts, but on the outside she will shove it off preferring to live up to her manly exterior and hide the shyer woman inside. For those who are not put off by her blunt presentation she can be the most loyal of friends and one they know will always say the truth, no matter how hurtful, though with enough time she can learn to soften her words, depending in the others personality.
Sometimes it is in song that we find ourselves, and it is through song that we may show ourselves for who we truely are without fear of ridicule and rejection

Andy's colors are dull greens, oranges, blues and monochromes often associated with males in many different societies while females are generally brighter lighter colors incorporating reds, pinks, light blues, and pastels. Andy is clearly not the pastel colored female but the dull colored female, which in most species is the norm due to the male needing its bright vibrant colors to attract mates and the female using her dull colors for camouflage. Though seemingly rare in Mako society Andy has gone along the evolutinary lines of many other species of animals instead of the style lines of her own species causing her to "Never look like anybody".

A repeated line throughout the song, Andy doesn't want to be like the other female Makos and wants to be herself but sometimes in doing so others feel as though she is kicking dirt into their face for going her own way. Andy doesn't try to do this, to "tear" them down but sometimes going your own way causes this to happen.
"Would you still believe in someone like me?"
Here is her inner fear, that which she hides from all but the closest of friends. Do others believe in her? Or does her individuality cause them to look away seeing her as only a failure? A burning question that sets fire to her heart and determination to her soul to show the world that she can paith her own path.

As said earlier Andy is unlike the other Mako girls with her muscleman exterior. She personally likes who she is, she doesn't like the looks or reactions others give her, but she still likes who she is even if she doesn't fit in.

Why should she hide because shes different? If the world can't handle it then that's the worlds problem and she wont apologize for who she is.

She gets that others don't, or how she sometimes thinks won't understand her but that doesn't stop her from trying to get them to understand her and see what she is and that she isn't some weirdo to call on if you need a guys work done. Her closest friends can sometimes pick out the feminine side of her in her manly actions but those who don't bother to try to understand her when she exposes herself will never see past the manly shell she has developed about herself.

The world may scorn her and spit at her for what she is, a Mako of independence and strong well, but she wouldn't give up who she is for the approval of a thousand Makos
