It was a cold, dark night. The wind blew to and fro all through out the evergreens. Jasmine curled up with her brothers in the hollowed out oak tree. Colton lifted up his head and stared out the entrance to the tree and sighed. They knew they couldn't get out any time soon. "I miss mom." Jesse whispered. Jasmine and Colton looked sadly at their younger brother.
"I know, we all do." Jasmine muttered and licked his cheek. Tears streaked down her cheeks as she poked her head outside to look longingly at the full moon. Colton and Jesse soon stood beside her.
"Come on, we need our rest. We're going to need it for tomorrow." Colton said as he walked to the center of their hideout. Jesse nodded and followed. With one last sigh, Jasmine trotted over and piled onto her brothers and drifted off.
Yeah, I know it sucks, but I'm tired.
