As you probably noticed, they represent the Nordic countries flags in europe:
Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.*
I also added the Faroe Islands because there were 6 pups and 5 Nordic countries & I didn't want to leave out one puppy. The Faroe Islands belong to denmark but they have their own flag(maybe I'm a little wrong, this is what I've understood).
Found a Picture to make it easier for you(if you don't know which puppy is which which many probably don't know, if you ignore the fact that I sorted the names* in that order

The mother(the big one of course) is yellow and red, she is suppose to represent the Kalmar Union's flag. I made her the Kalmar Union because I couldn't come up with anything better that did somewhat connect some or all of the countries that has a flag.
The snow probably took quite a long time... I personaly like the Faroe Islands pup's tail, it's the prettiest. I like the Finland pup's colors the most, it matches the snow. Norway, Iceland and the Faroe Islands took the longest time to color because of their three colors but it looks pretty with the three colors. I like the Denmark pup's pose the most, it's the cutest!
To be honest, I think that Sweden's flag sort of ruins the combinations a little... The Nordic countries flags are red, blue and white or two of them but Sweden's flag added some yellow and totally ruined the color combinations...
My dad said that he sees Sweden's flag as "special" because of the yellow color and that the other Nordic flags have the same three(or two of the three) colors, I see it as odd...
I drew/colored the flag of these countries because I'm from Sweden and I like the Nordic countries.

NOTE: I did not write Scandinavia because I'd get comments like:
"OMG, Finland & Island arent Nordic countries!!
![Surprised :o](./images/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif)
but I prefer the term Scandinavia... I see Finland & Iceland as (75%)Scandinavian countries for a couple of reasons.
