Your life has been normal until now.... There have been people spotting mermaids near the oceans deserted beaches, some thought they were just dolphins, others started to believe. Even if you did see one, you wouldn't dare to tell anyone. There are tales of the mermaids seeking revenge to the people who told their secrets. You'd be called crazy if you told anyone about them anyways. There are a group of teens that seek for the mermaids, to possibly be friends, but will they show themselves? Will the mermaids want to be friends with the humans?
The Humans
You may have seen the Mer-people or you could just believe what the teens tell you is true. Anyways, your part of this secret club made up of teens trying to find the mysteries of the ocean. It's summer, so there isn't any school.
The Mer-people
You've lived in the ocean your whole life, it's strictly against the rules to go onto land. Although you've probably been wanting to go on land your whole life, you respect the rules. Or do you? You may hate the teens that come to the ocean everyday, or you may love it when they come over. They're fascinating to watch.
All the mer-people live in underwater caves, so it's almost like a community where everybody knows each other!
The two species haven't even met yet, but will they soon?
The beach is the place the mer-people used to live before the humans started coming. It was soon was abandoned and only the teens came. To get to the ocean the teen group has to trudge through the thick woods; that's what's kept humans out for years.
The homes in the ocean are underwater caves where the mermaids and mermen live. These caves aren't dull though, they are decorated with beads of all sorts, and the special water paint they use.
The open ocean is where humans boat and play all sorts of water games, but it's also the place mer-people hunt and play games. It's extremely hard to hunt with all the noise from above though. There are tales of mermaids getting caught in nets and never coming back. They say that the huge human like fish get taken to a facility to get studied. It's never been proven though.
