I am not closing Spirit Wolves forever! My laptop doesn't run Java and won't let me download it, so they are just on hold till I can afford a new laptop that will run Java. Please stop messaging me if you can buy them off me or take over ownership, it won't happen anytime soon. These were given to me by their original owner and a good friend of mine!

These species were created by Poison Wolf and all credit goes to this incredible artist!

Synopsis
Spirit Wolves, or Dream Wolves, as they are sometimes called, is the form that a wolf can take when it enters the thought planes of the Spirit/Dream World. Nobody is entirely sure how these wolves first managed to enter into the Spirit World, some say it was evolution, to help them hunt, and others say it was a gift from Gaia, the First Wolf. The wolves bodies grew taller and longer, with better senses and thicker fur, and they have powers in the Spirit World, that can't be used in the Real World.
Anatomy
In the Spirit World Form, wolves are taller and longer than a normal wolf. They grow a thick ruff of fur around their neck, down their backs and bellies, ending in a long thick tail. The wolves sprouted wings that connected to their front shoulders, along with well developed muscles for flight. Their ears grew longer and more hollowed, with wrinkles inside them to hear better, as well as growing tufts on their ears to protect them from the cold. Their eyes did not change, but they now have ethereal eyes, which are on long, slender stalks that sprout from their lower eyelids. The ethereal eyes help guide the Spirit Wolves through the Spirit World, as well as through thoughts, dreams, and the minds of other wolves.
History
The first Spirit Wolf was a young juvenile female wolf by the name of Lyesa, a promising Hunter within the pack. Despite her hunting skills, on the outside there was nothing to separate her from any other young wolf. Pretty brown coat, yellowish eyes, sharp white teeth. But her mind was superdeveloped, allowing her to break barriers in her sleep, and enter into the Spirit World. Of course, since she was alone, she didn't know what it was, or how to control it. She dismissed it as a dream until she kept coming back. She learned and taught herself in the Spirit World, and kept it a secret from her Pack. She eventually mated and had a litter of four pups. These pups, like their mother, developed the gift in their juvenile years, and they became the first Spirit Wolves. Eventually, the Pack found out, and by this time, the four pups had juveniles of their own, and the Spirit Pack had grown. The Spirit Wolves had ventured into the Pack's subconscious minds, frightening them. The Pack, jealous and afraid, harshly drove out the Spirit Wolves. The Spirit Wolves fled to the mountains, where they cultured a bitter feeling towards the normal wolves that drove them out. They tried, multiple times, to get back into their birth Pack, but they were always chased away. Angry, the Spirit Wolves waged war on the Normal Wolves, and the fine balance the wolves had kept over the land was disrupted. Wolves from both packs took too much food because the packs were warring, and territories were established to fight over. As humans keep melting the ice and pushing further into the two Packs' territories, the wolves fight more, longer and harder. Spirit Wolves can alter dreams and communicate telepathically, but some rare wolves can also alter reality. The gift is so rare that if a pup gets it, he/she is automatically going to become leader, after the old leader.
The Spirit World
Is an empty, beautiful place. Extremely cold, full of starlight and silver thoughts, there is no true up or down, left or right, and when in the Spirit World, the Spirit Wolves cannot be hurt. Because of its immense vastness, the Wolves' hearing, sense of smell, and eyesight is a hundred times better than when in their physical bodies. In the Spirit World, the wolves don't need to eat, but staying inside the Spirit World may result in the death of their physical bodies, which is a horrible ordeal, because then the wolves are stuck in the Spirit World forever, never eating, drinking, hunting, or truly seeing the real world again. They are insane and uncontrollable, often very depressed or hateful, living through other wolves' dreams and turning them into nightmares.
Outside of the Spirit World
They look like regular wolves outside of the Spirit World, but as they grow older in their powers and physically, they may develop traits of their Spirit World selves. They won't grow wings or their other eyes, but they may become taller or longer than the average wolf, perhaps slightly thick haired or with better senses. More commonly is the markings will show up on their fur. If a Spirit Wolf has a blue mark on it's face is the Spirit World, in the real world it may develop that same marking.
Powers &Abilities
Once a wolf has reached it's young adult years, that is when you will know if will be a Spirit Wolf. It will be able to enter the Spirit World, and there it will learn to Dream Walk, which is to enter other wolves' dreams and control them. They will also be able to communicate telepathically inside the Spirit World, although some have been know to be able to do this outside the Spirit World. In the Spirit World, wolves also have the ability to manifest objects. This is strictly a Spirit World ability, where wolves can make objects appear out of nothing. Spirit Wolves can alter dreams, as said before, but some very powerful wolves can alter reality. These wolves are always leaders or healers, so their powers are never used for evil.
Nightmares
Nightmare is the name given to a wolf whose physical body died while they were in the Spirit World. Trapped and frustrated, these wolves eventually go mad and wholly adapt to the Spirit World. Their body features change, and they envy the living, both normal and Spirit Wolves. They cannot die because and wounds in the Spirit World heal instantaneously. They are a tragic horror, always spreading fear and hatred, giving nightmares to any wolf they find, and if they have the ability to alter reality, they will kill. Recently, certain Nightmares have developed the ability to Body Jump, causing Spirit Wolves to be on high alert, because Body Jumping is a ability where the Nightmares propel themselves into a Spirit Wolf's body, trapping the Spirit Wolf and allowing the Nightmare to wreak havoc on every living thing. You can always tell these Rogues (Their physical world name) from the original wolves because their eyes turn black as pitch and their skin turns scabby with greasy fur. They do not belong in that body, efficiently killing it, and they are living in a rotted skin. Rogues, however, can be killed, putting the tortured souls at peace.
