Twenty-Seven:
[[YOU ARE IN THE POSITION OF SAM]]
"Ehh, should we tell her?" I ask, watching Ellie spaz out a ways away from Louie and myself. Kinda weird seeing her so freaked, especially holding a seemingly life-less body. Huh, not how I picture her.
"Nahh, she'll learn from this." Louie says lacking interest in the conversation and flakily examining her nails.
"Pfft, right. what could she learn from this? 'Never sprint to save an almost dead person who just go shot in the shoulder when you don't know for sure they're dying'?" I snicker, my jokingly-sarcastic trait dripping thick from my words. But seeing Ellie's face all red and angered is really out of place and bugs me. I remember when Louie sent me out on a mission to keep an eye on Ellie. first time I had seen her she was half asleep in school, nearly drooling on her tablet. but then she looked annoyed and bored; now she looks utterly outraged and just pissed. kinda irks me.
"No," Louie replies flatly, she doesn't usually take to my sarcasm, "She'll learn instincts. By going through this-"
"Wait, wait, wait, how will this teach instincts? Isnt this showing her to NOT trust her instincts? Cause my first impulse would be to help whoever's hurt, unless of course their the enemy." I cut Louie off, knowing she hates it.
And that hate is affirmed by a low growl from her throat, "If you'd let me finish, I was going to say now that this is happening--she is saving the undead Muna, I mean--she will realize she is in fact not dead, and then she'll understand that your not supposed to pounce at dangers first sight. I hope you get that, otherwise you are no use to me." Louie shoots me a cold glare out of the corner of her eyes, and I look away and back to the flustered Ellie.
[[YOU ARE NOW IN THE POSITION OF ELLIE]]
"Low life scums..." I mutter. it amazes me how some people can be so inconsiderate. Here I have this girl bleeding out, and Sam and Louie stare at me screaming my head off with blank expression; where as the other guy who had been fighting with this girl simply wandered off. I mean, what the hell?
Its the slight wheeze of the girl I'm my arms that shakes me from my thought. "Huh...?" I grunt, my eyes widening and my jaw slightly opens when I stair down at the girls face. her eyes slowly peel open, flutter a bit, then remain cracked.
"Did-..." she coughs a bit, her eyes roll slightly in her skill and I choke on the cool air. "Did I..." she pauses to take another breath. how more dramatic can this get, and when will I pass out? Seriously, my heart has stopped, or is beating so fast I cant feel it. That or my whole body is numb, and come to think of it, I cant feel my arms. "Loose?" her voice croaks out, sending a chill up my spine. Loose? Loose what? It doesn't matter, that's not my concern at the moment.
I scream, throwing the girl from my arms, "Ahh~! YOU NOT DEAD~?!" The girl rolls onto the ground, and her arm jerks in an odd spasm so that the arrow isn't further moved; I'd do the same considering I wouldn't want an arrow lodged in my shoulder.
"Ahh~!" She wails when she hits the ground with a final roll and loud thud.
Oh my God, what's going on? I scream in my head.
