What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

A memory Lovedrop has remembered from a very long time ago, is when she met a funny, handsome Mutato called Ember. She fell in love with him and he's now her best friend, and she's very content this way. She doesn't want to burst the little bubble they've been living in. Meeting him is still her favourite memory.



Lovedrop's favourite place is the bank of Loch Lomond, at the base of Ben Lomond (mountain). She loves looking out over the water. Often her friends join her. But secretly, she enjoys being there alone far more than she does when her friends are with her. She loves being able to bask in the quiet serenity of the waterside.



This is her favourite song, because it perfectly describes her favourite place, and in her mind it refers to how she loves Ember but will never meet him there as anything more than a best friend.

For example, the line that says:
"Where me and my true love spent many days", she takes it to mean how she and Ember always met there.

Then when it changes to:
"Where me and my true love will never meet again", in her mind it refers to how it's not her love she's meeting there, but her best friend.
