finally! after about three weeks of brainstorming and sketching and doodling, Kasumi is finally here! Kasumi means mist in Japanese~
I have come to realize, over the past summer vacation and current school year, that i'm not really who i always pretend to be. I have been trying to come up with a fursona that represented that, but i always ended up coming back to human characters. so i gave up on the fursona route and went on more of the persona route. So, Kasumi was born!
Kasumi is my new persona. (and probably my final one, since she totally embodies me) I put many of the things I like into her clothing and tattoos and accessories. Her tattoo behind her ear combines her star symbol, sagittarius, with an arrow, combining her love of archery and her astronomical sign. on her left wrist are the symbols for rewind, pause/play, and fast forward. This represents how my and Kasumi's lives have been saved multiple times by music. Her large tattoos of antlers on her shoulder blades represent Kasumi and my's respect for nature and love of it, and my dream to major in Agriculture in college and work on a farm.
Her accessories are pretty simple. Fall is my favorite season, so the pumpkin hairtie shows our love of autumn. The bow and arrows are a necessity for Kasumi, since she escaped from a lab and must live and fend for herself in the woods.
Because of her past, Kasumi is afraid of needles, doctors, and confined spaces, but she has also never liked how fire looked or sounded, and disliked its power to destroy the forest. She doesn't like shoes (same with me) and prefers not to wear them, but when she has to she prefers combat boots. She lost an eye escaping from the lab and wears an eyepatch to keep it from getting infected. She almost never wears her hair down because she was not allowed to tie it up in the lab, so having it down reminds her of being experimented on. And, like me, she has better things to do than plan a well-put together outfit, so she wears sweaters and yoga pants almost everyday.
