Nobody wanted me. I was so small. My mother called me "Itty". My brothers and sisters all made fun of me. I was so small.I'd grow if I could. Not only was I small, but I became very sickly. I had terrible chills and coughs. I would be sick in the night, but usually by morning I was better. This countinued most of my cage life, and it was on the wire. But that one day, that one day. He walked in the pet store. My siblings, and my parents had all been adopted, so I was the last bunny left in the store. He was a middle-aged man. He looked down at me with large brown eyes, and I returned the favor. The clerk and him started talking, and the clerk removed me from my cage and put me in a box with some carrots. The carrots were a couple days out of the bag,so I didn't touch them. I could see through the slits of the box and the man was taking me home. I was being adopted. My dream come true. The man talked and talked, but I didn't understand a word he said. One of my sisters had the extraoridinary gift of understanding them, but I wasn't so fortunate. His house was small, and we had to climb stairs to get there. The outside was white and bland, it reminded me of the prison I was just released from.
He Took me inside, and what I thought would be wonderful, was a catastrophie. He called to a young girl who came runnning up with bright eyes. She spoke with excitement, but a girl in the back of the room just scowled at me as the man took me from my box. She headed over, and spoke in a harsh tone at me. I didn't like her. The littler girl was very happy to see me,though. She cuddled me and hugged me gently. One day, when the younger girl wasn't there, the older one grabbed me by my scruff, and set me on the floor. If there was one thing I was sure of, is that they had cats. I was so small, they could eat me. They stayed off the table, but on the floor, they swarmed me. The girl shook her head, and picked me back up before the cats could eat me.Atleast she had some sense.
It was a long time before she came round to me. But she finally did. She became one of my best humans. The little girl was very kind, but the older girl took me everywhere she could. In one occasion, I became very ill. I coulnd't breathe, and My bod ached all over. But She was there. She gave me hope, and so that's what I called her.My Hope.
