Yes, I know that it's too early in the year for snow pictures, but I'm going to put one up anyway.

These are my characters Holly (the girl) and Ice (the boy). Their story is basically that Holly is living in the woods with her two sisters (whole 'nother story) and Ice stumbles upon her in a time of need. He is Winter's son, and generally, well, cold, but he takes pity on Holly, and saves her. Essentially he kidnaps her and takes her to the kingdom of Winter, where he is prince. However, when Holly realizes her situation, she demands to go home, and Ice lets her. But during her stay with him, he had started to change. Intrigued, he followed her home, and spent the rest of the winter season staying with her. At first he was unkind, harsh to her little sisters, and generally a very rude guest, but he grew closer to her, and eventually the two fell in love. However, winter does not last forever, and he couldn't live in the warmth as it caused him to weaken, so as spring grew close he had to leave Holly. While Holly might have been upset, she knew that Ice would come back the next year. Yet such was not the case. Ice had to choose between staying with Holly as a mere mortal, or returning to his ice kingdom which was currently under attack, and never being able to see his "warm lovely" again.

This is a picture from when Ice decides he has to return home and sacrifice his own happiness, promising Holly that "I will come back for you. "
