Personality:Nekkara is warm, caring and innocent just like her protection, Clover. In a world of demons it is not so easy being a guardian of such an innocent girl. Not to mention when your so innocent yourself. She loves nature and enjoys laying in trees whenever Clover is out gardening. The smell of the crisp air in the morning is calming and soothes her greatly whenever she feel stressed. She is very calm and relaxed, not worrying too much as with all the demon hunters around, Clover is bound to be safe... Most of the time anyways...

Story of how you met your Shugorei:
It was the day when me and my sister, Rain, got kicked out of the orphanage to fend for our selves. We had become too old to stay there, there was no chance we would be adopted at the age we were at. We had nothing but the clothes on our backs and a loaf of bread each. I was so scared, but that was only the beginning. Why did she do it? Why did she leave me?
We found an abandoned home to stay in for our first night away from the orphanage. We had walked around, asking for jobs wherever we could all day, but no one wanted us. We laid down and I dosed off, long before Rain did. I never should have closed my eyes though. I awoke the next morning alone. The place where my sister slept was cold, and my loaf of bread was gone. She had got up and left in the middle of the night, thinking I would slow her down and so she left me there, with nothing but the clothing I wore on my back.
I was shocked. We were sisters, yet she left me to fend for myself and took the only food I had. I would never trust her again after this time and I would create for myself a new life. I walked around the next day, alone, searching for someone to give me a job, any kind of job that I could handle, but nobody would accept me, nobody believed I was capable of working.
I walked back to the abandoned home, feeling defeated. All I had managed to get that day was some scraps thrown away by the baker and a tattered blanket to wrap around myself that that. I huddled into a corner, hiding from the wind and cold, the blanket wrapped tightly around me. I had tears running down my cheeks at the thought of being alone, at the thought of all the creatures running around outside, ready to strike at any time.
I stayed huddled in the corner until I saw a light flickering across the floor. I knew it was dark and so I had no idea where the light would be coming from, so I looked up, afraid of what I might find. In front of me was a cat. It was a bit bigger than a house cat, but not as big as a wild cat. She had white fur, with gray patches and even darker gray stripes. She wore beads around her neck, gold cuffs on her front legs, earrings and tassels. The light I had saw came from a lantern that she carried.
"Don't be afraid." she spoke with a kind and worried expression on her face. "You are not alone, I'm your Shugorei, Nekkara." she smiled at me. Her voice had calmed me as it was melodious and smooth. I sniffed and gave her a small smile, the best I could at the time, being left all alone the way I was. She came closer and snuggled next to me until I let her snuggle under the blanket with me, keeping me a little warmer that night.

Reason For Name (Continued):
For Nekkara, Nature doesn't only mean the
plants, animals and growing, but also
the nature of things and how and why
they do what they do, the nature of earth
and why it is, what it is. The nature of life
and how it works. Human nature and why
we do what we do. The list could go on and
on, but I shall leave at that for now.

Reason For Name:
By Nature I was brought into this world,
By Nature I will leave.
By Nature I became Clover's,
By Nature she loved me.
By Nature I am a guardian,
By Nature she is my protection.
By Nature we will meet fate,
Together for eternity.

Nekkara's POV:
I only had to close my eyes for a second before everything went down hill for my protection. I followed her and her sister down the street after they were forced out of the orphanage. I could sense a dark aura around the two, but I had no idea what the cause was. If only I had known what was about to come for Clover.
I watched sadly as they tried their hardest to get jobs, but no warm hearts accepted them or their pleas. I felt to helpless at that time, all I wanted to do was help them, but I could not show myself yet. so I continued to possible, looking for any possible way to help them.
I felt defeated as I followed them to the abandoned home. What a sad sight that night, them all huddled up and cold. I laid down to rest nearby, trying not to fall asleep, but fatigue took me anyways. I awoke and growled. Rain had gotten up and left, she even took the loaf of bread that was given to Clover. How cruel people can become when helpless. I watched sadly as Clover woke up to the shocking realization and went to hunt for work by herself.
That night she was once again in the abandoned house, alone this time. She huddled in the corner with a blanket she found wrapped tightly around her and she cried. I closed my eyes, trying to hold back the tears and I knew it was time for me to show myself to her. I walked over in the darn of night, my lamp making light flicker along the crumbling walls. Clover looked up me, fear and curiosity in her eyes.
"Don't be afraid." I spoke to her. "You are not alone, I'm your Shugorei, Nekkara." My voice seemed to have calmed her, as she gave me a small smile, even though she was in so much pain. I walked over and snuggled up against her, rubbing my head against her arm to warm her and comfort her. She soon let me under the blanket with her and I kept her warm and safe that night, not only from the physical danger, but also the mental danger and pain.
