Some characters for my character thread....When I find the time to put it all together.
The four races of Kangren living in an alternate cat fantasy realm of mine. Two of feather, two of scale.
Hastily scribbled notes since I have times. :3
Dark-Wings is a "Scaeli". Instead of fire, it kind has a breath that resembles gas, but acts like strong acid. Their scales are harder than crystal, except for on their wings. The wings of a Scaeli are soft, and the wing membrane is incredibly fragile; which in turn makes flying very difficult and endearing. Scaeli have prehensile tails; they can also grab things with the ends of their tails. They are the most generous of the races, and also the strongest.
Bright Fire is a "Farlok". Farlok are covered in shiny feathers. White feathers sparkle all sorts of colours when bright light hits them. They breathe fire, which colour tends to match the colour of their feathers. Farlok are the softest of all the races. The skin on their underbellies is soften than any other material or thing in their world. Not only is this an enormous disadvantage in battle, but murderers often seek out their underbelly skin for underground trading.
Stone Hopper is a "Gilour". Gilour are sorta slimy - at least if they've been out in the water for some time. They usually come in an array of greens with bright markings and underbellies. Gilour have the most abilities of all races. In the middle of their paws are glands that produce a very sticky substance that allows them to climb most of anything. Gilour can also breathe under water for long periods of time thanks to their small gills. Their breath ability is a poison spray that is usually only used for defense. Lastly, they have the amazing ability to colour shift their scales.
Broken-Shard is a "Criilenth". Criilenth eggs are encased in ice by their parents as it takes almost six years for a single egg to hatch. Criilenth are covered in feathers that are, in turn, covered in crystals. Crystals first begin to grow on their feathers when they are still in their eggs and never stop growing. Those who don't trim their crystals can wind up looking like an over-spiked hedgehog. Offensively, Criilenth have small spikes on their back that travel to their tails which can be used like a bat. Their breath attack is a blast of subzero air and water mix.
