This is now open for adoptions! I still need more Artists, Mods, and Guest Artists, but I am sure I will het them soon. ^^ I will continue to work on this and make it fancier even after it opens up. ^-^
Hello there! Welcome to the Audila Adoption Center, better known as the AAC. This is the place where you can find and take home your own Audila for free. Please keep reading to find out more!
What is an Audila?
An Audila is a medium-sized creature that resembles a wolf.
They are omnivores, eating both plants and meat. They aren’t
scavengers, preferring to hunt their own food. Audilas usually
hunt in packs, finding it easier to take down larger prey. They
are very sociable, not liking to be alone. Audilas are usually
found in packs with ranks similar to a wolf pack. Some, however,
choose to live in small groups of two or three. Rarely do you find
a solitary Audila, but it is possible.
Identifying Males and Females
There are a few features used to tell male and
female Audilas apart. Males often have horns
that look like a ram’s, but some males are born
without. They use these horns for protection,
solving disputes (over territory, for example),
and fighting over females. The males are also
usually larger than the females. They have a
larger built and are naturally more muscular
in general. The average height of a male is
about the size of a wolf. Some males can grow
to be equivalent to the size of a tiger or larger.
The females have longer, fluffier tails. They
can be used for warmth and attracting a mate.
Female Audilas are built smaller, making them a
bit more agile than the males, but not as strong.
Males usually have taller, pointier ears while the
females tend to have smaller, more rounded ears.
The final difference between the two is the eyes.
The female Audilas eyes are more rounded and wide,
while the males have more of an almond-shaped eye.
The females’ eyes are, for the most part, a little more
bright than the males, shining brighter. This also helps
them attract a mate.
Colors and Patterns
Audilas come in a wide range of color and patterns.
In fact, they can be found in nearly any and every color,
as well as just about every pattern. They usually aren’t
seen with full-body patterns (like zebra stripes or polka
dots all over) and although they aren't always seen in one
solid color, it's very possible.
Natural Habitat
Audilas live in forests and mountains, sleeping in dens
or hollowed out logs. Their homes are often close together
and found near a water supply such as a lake or river. There
is usually a wide field/plain nearby used for hunting smaller
mammals like prairie dogs, groundhogs, ect.
