Ruset as a child was the most giggly bubbly thing ever! all she did was play around in leaf piles her family helped with the running of the leaves, she never found any interest in the event but one thing she crowded herself with was Chipmunks, she loved them! even down to their little clawy feet, Chipmunks meant everything to her they were so tiny and are normally not seen, so shes there to protect them and guide them away from trouble seeing as their brains are just so tiny.

Now how the little filly got her cutie mark is an funny adventure.

Ruset was playing with her stuffed toys in her room when she saw a few chipmunks playing around, she gasped in awe seeing how cute tehy were and pressed her face against the window watching them "AWWW....wait is that..." she looked in he sky seeing a hawk flying down to swoop them up, she gasped and ran out tripping down the porch stairs into a pie of leaves "oh no!" she hipped up again and somehow there was a banana peel "WHAT?!" she slipped on that rolling into the chipmunks scooping them up out of the way of the hawk. When she got up she had a few bumps and cuts but she was happy, she just saved a few chipmunks. Now the funny part beside her clumsiness was that she didn't realize she had a cutie mark due to a cut on her rump she had it bandaged and took her about 2 weeks for it to fully heal till she pulled it off and saw her cute little cutiemark "SWEETNESS!" and she slipped hurting her hoof haveing to have it wrapped up.

Backstory maybe?:

Once there was a young filly
who was always picked on due to how small she was. Bullies would come and tell her how small she was and was a scaredy pony. One day she ran away deep in the woods. It was the fall time of year and lots of animals were getting ready to hibernate. She sat near a river crying. Then she heard a noise. She turned and saw a bear cub stuck on a log in the river. It couldn't swim.
This filly didn't know what to do. So she jumped into the river and tried to swim to the cub. It was hard with her wet socks and scarf but she didn't care. She reached the cub and tried to calm it. The log went down river till it headed towards a waterfall. The filly pushed the log towards the river bank. Inches away from the waterfall she pushed the log into the bank. The cub was very happy and licked the filly. There was a flash an when she looked to see where it came from she saw that she earned her cutiemark. She watched the cub run to its mother. Then the filly walked home dripping wet but happy.

Backstory maybe?- Leafy Bliss was born your average foal in Ponyville, she was always calm andvery kind, so her parents named her Leafy Bliss. When she was a filly, she grew a new found love for Fall, always participating in the Running of the Leaves every year. One day, the Mayor, Mayor Mare, got a really bad cold and couldn't make sure everything was in check for the Running of the Leaves. Devastated, Leafy Bliss vowed to herself that she would, under all circumstances, find a way to make the annual event happen that year. She read as many books as she could on the event, studying for as long as she could, and when she was ready, the determined young filly got her parents to call everypony in Ponyville to a meeting. Leafy Bliss then told everypony what she wanted to do, and how they were going to do it. Soon, ponies were making banners, clearing paths, and putting up signs all with the help of Leafy. When they were done, everypony celebrated with refreshing drinks of home-made apple cider provided by none other than the Apple Family themself! Leafy Bliss became so happy, she could... well... burst! What made the day even better, was that somepony trotted over to her and said "Hey, kid. Might wanna look at your flank!" Leafy, confused, looked at her now-not-blank flank with a "Huh?" and gasped, "My cutie mark!" she started crying and hugged the random stranger. The stranger chuckled, and the next day, the very same pony carried her to the end of the race when she got tired half-way through! From that day forward, Leafy Bliss always helped out in any way she could to make every RotL, in her words, the "Best. Race. EVER!" -and scene-
