Into a small family of street canines is born a puppy blessed with four ears, but cursed with blindness. Although he has a keen sense of hearing and a good life living in the backlot of a small restaurant with his mother, father, and siblings, he longs to be able to see. So when a mysterious stranger comes along and offers him a way to see, he readily accepts it, ignoring the stranger's warning-- there is a price. In return for the chips of blue glass that enable him to see, he gives away his ability to listen. Soon he is chased out by his family as he grows more and more unresponsive to what they say. Finally, he realizes that the trade was more of a curse than his blindness, and he sets out to find his ability to listen again. But how can he find the way to Listen without the help of others? And if he does get to Listen, what will he find there?
