What's unique

Children of the nexus focuses on a new anthromorphic species called Mytrs [Marters] In our tongue they would be called tailmouths/mouthtails. Currently there are three known variants of Mytrs in the known world.

Tailmouths

Mouthtails

The Mouthtail is the second most common Mytr variant.
They are more human in appearance, however,
still display the trademark tail, and may posses other
animalistic features. Unlike Tailmouths, Mouthails are mainly
in complete control of their body for the most part. Where a
Tailmouth may share partial/temporary control with its tail.
A Mouthtail shares a nervous system with its tail, however
controls remain separate; though a Mouthtail can control
its tail, the tail cannot take control of the body. [unfinished]

The Tailmouths is the most common variant of the
Mytr species.Tailmouths are more animal looking than either
of their two cousins. Tailmouths are born in eggs, unlike both
of their cousins; the eggs are coated in an acidic slime that
protects the egg, and the egg must be kept moist at all times.
The tail of a Tailmouth is, as you could guess, it's most
valuable weapon and tool. The tail gives the body nutrients
when it feeds, and likewise, when the body feeds it shares
nutrients with the tail. Tailmouths mature twice as fast as
their cousins, and four times as fast as any human. Unlike
their cousin the Mouthtail, Tailmouths live in tribes of 10-20
members; tribes are lead by a patriarch, and rarely exceed the
max of twenty members. Tailmouths essentially have two
souls/minds within one body. The tail has it's own mind, and
functions separately from the body, which sometimes results
in fights between the two. Each Tailmouths is unique to itself,
and each tail's personality is different, and may even clash with
it's host.
