Hey guys,
So this is my last kiamara before I go away for the summer (should have informed you sooner apps),
I wanted it to be special and special it is! (I hope the tiny hair edits are okay Apple, my only edited kia for a long time now ;v;)

Anyways, as you can see this darling is a little bland, but this was the challenge- creating a summer themed design using monochrome colors only! Another challenge was using only the pen tool, no more blending or pencil yey!?
I really hope you all like it and don't let the colors bring you down, in fact, I think it looks kind of cool |D

-So, pretty simple, but here's the deal.
I know the design is a bit complex so all you have to do are sketches! For the 'emotion/face' part you must draw 3 headshots of this kiamara on that same page, they can be sketchy because all that matters is the emotion.
Basically, the page must feature THREE faces or emotions that this kiamara expresses most often, so turn something like this into a simple page that reflects the kias personality. They don't have to be concrete emotions, just expressions or faces (example: sticking out tongue, winking) that this kia does. Have fun with it!

{As you can see, even if Lalen is feeling excited or anxious, he isn't very...expressive.}
Extra: I realize this is nothing like art or a big story, but is is also important. When Lalen was a child and still had his parents, his mother used to sing this song on stormy nights when he couldnt sleep. The loud thunder and bright flashes of light scared him. The lullaby always made him feel better...safe. Even now when he is an ignorant crab, he holda the song to his heart, and sometimes sings it when he misses his mom so much he just cant bear it.

What a beautiful Kiamara!
Username: I'm Squid! But feel free to call me Squiddy if you wish. I have a fan forum account, where I'm called Squid! as well. I don't do too much on it, however, because I don't own a lovely Kiamara yet. I mainly browse, and make frequent posts on the 'Kiamara Fan Club' thread. C: Although I have lost many Kiamara competitions, I just take it as a sign that that one wasn't right for me, and that a Kia on the horizon will just blow my socks off. That has been done here today ^^ I feel like I could really expand on this Kia's personality as I RP with her, and the personality that I have thought of for her will be very interesting to work with. I am very active in all of the communities I am a part of, and the Kiamara community will be no different. I have mastered all forms of RP'ing, from literate to free style, and I'm currently in three, enough to keep me entertained and busy, but not too much that I forget about my characters. As my very first Kia, I am confident in the knowledge that I would give her the best of homes. <3
Kias name: I knew that her name had to be a flowery name, due to her delightful pattern and flower accessories. After a lot of thinking and consideration, I decided on the name Kalina {k(a)-li-na, kah-LEE-nah}, meaning 'flower' in Slavic origin. I felt like it fit her because it sounds smooth and graceful, like her design, and also unusual and unique.
Gender: Definitely a female, she looks very feminine to me. :>
Emotion/face: What an interesting challenge!
Emotions;; concentrated while painting, listening to music, nervous.

Personality: As a colorblind Kiamara, Kalina identifies well with sounds. She is a major music lover and listens to peaceful music as she paints or rock music when she is doing a rave painting. Yes, the colorblind Kia paints, and often. To clarify, Kalina cannot see any color, just shades of grey, black, and white. She owns a canvas and paints scenery outside, using water color paints. Her painting can best be described as abstract scenery, as the colors are often incorrect. She goes by shade, not color, so if she is painting the sky, and it is darker to her, she looks at her paints and tries to find a darker-shaded color to match it. She plans to one day sell her line of water color paintings called, ‘How I See My World.’
Other than her hobbies, Kalina is shy and dislikes having a lot of attention on her. She feels caged and different from the rest. She likes being left alone to her painting, where she feels truly free. Her animal companion, Summer, is a brown chinchilla who is always at her side when she paints or takes walks around town. She either sits perched on her head or walking side-by-side with her.
Kalina has a hard time expressing herself. Speaking is hard, because she is so self-conscious and feels like she will mess up. She mainly relies on body language and facial expressions, so she has developed some pretty wild faces that she makes. This Kia loves the summer time {that’s when the best scenery is uncovered!} and taking long walks on the shore of the lake by her house. She hopes to someday have a mate who loves her for who she is, maybe a baby too. She is bisexual and tolerant of any preference.
