Deep in the night forests of the realm Dunhame there live many fantastic and frightening creatures. Among these many curious beasts are a species that has learned to cross between dimensions and thus have entered into our world. They are known as the Keltukai, a curious mix of species that seems to resemble various creatures from our own human mythology. I discovered them when one day while I was on a camping trip in the deep woods, when I thought I caught a glimpse of flickering fire somewhere in the distance as dusk started to fall. Naturally curious, and worried about a forest fire, I trekked my way towards the light to see what I could see. I discovered, to my initial fear, a terrifying beast feeding upon the carcass of a deer. Fearing for my life I tried to slip quietly away but ended up tripping over a log and making a horrifying amount of noise. The creature snarled and was standing over me before I could even scream, the spiked end of its tail poised above my heart, terrified I looked into the depths of its magnificent swirling eyes and found I could not look away. After a few tense seconds I felt something change, and there seemed to be a strange sort of connection between me and this beast. It lowered its tail and stepped away from me, allowing me to stand. From that moment on he has become my faithful friend and companion, and with our bond growing stronger it seems that I am gaining some rather strange abilities...

Keltukai are a strange creature that appears to resemble a mix of various mythological creatures such as the manticore. It has a few physical traits however that are always seen within this species, though there is still much variety within them.
Size:
Newborn Kelt - the size of of a beagle
Young Kelt - the size of a labrador retriever
Teen Kelt - the size of a great dane
Adult Kelt - about the same size as a polar bear
Interesting Adaptations:
• Powerful hind legs with long claws, and a specially wicked hooked dew-claw used for hunting
• Spiked protrusion from base of the tail, contains paralyzing venom
• Magical flames that float around their body, mainly at a mid-leg height (unknown use)
Typical traits:
• Thick neck fur and underbelly fur to keep warm in cool climates
• Shaggy-furred tail needed to insulate poison (which must be kept fairly warm at all times)
• Long ears, used for phenomenal hearing, much like a rabbits ears
Other Interesting Tidbits:
• Come in almost every colour, with no restrictions on markings
• Albino or melanistic Keltukai are extremely rare
• Flame colour always matches the colour of their eyes
• Only ever have four main body colours, not including eyes, tongue, or horns
• Are commonly known as 'Kelts' or 'Kelt'
