There is a howl in the distance . The forest is bright with the never setting moon. I howl right back saying 'This is my territory'. I sniff the air and jump up. A wolf walks out of the bushes and others surround me. My eyes go wide and my fur bristles. One of the wolves snaps at my hind leg.

The wolf says 'Koume, we want your land. If you don't give it to our pack we will kill you,' he growls. I smirk. Then I jump up and my wings spread out and I unleash my claws.

I slap the old wolf across the face and say, 'I am Koume, Wolf of Three Shapes. Leave my land and no one will dieThe round of wolves cower and then they run off out of my territory. I land and fold my wings up. "Koume you've saved yourself again," I say to myself.

A wolf comes out of the bushes; but this time it was Willow of the Sleet Pack. He says "Hey, what's up?"

I say, "Nothing new but I thought about you asking me to join the Sleet Pack and what my decision is... Yes; Willow you are my love and always will be."

"Then follow me Koume," says Willow. We walk out of my familiar scent area. I look back at what once was my home and say, "This scent smells weird to me."

"That will change after a few phases," Willow saysA patrol of wolves look at Willow then me. "Willow! My man. Whose the she-wolf?"

"No flirting Shade. This is Koume my new wolf friend. She is joining Sleet Pack," says Willow.

"It's nice to meet you Shade," I say.

"Well you have to talk to Shadow first. But we will escort her to him," Shade says.

My ears go flat on my head as I notice a wolf going to attack Shade. "SHADE LOOK OUT!" I yell.The wolf looks at me. I change into a black eagle wolf and I spread my wings. I jump then start to fly. I pick up the wolf who wanted to kill Shade and I throw him across the snowy land. The wolf stands up and runs toward me. I land and quickly turn into a normal wolf and I face him.

"Why did you try to kill Shade?" I growl.

He smirks and says "Our pack has hated Sleet Pack ever since creation."

Instead of attacking me he attacks Willow off guard. I grab the wolf's scruff. He turns and his teeth sink into my neck. Then Willows swats him away and growls, "Stay away from her."

His eyes turn into something I've never seen in him before. I stumble to my feet. Just then the wolf attacks Willow and I run to aid him until Shade says, "It's too late. Willow is no more."

I stand in shock, unable to move. I finally walk to Willow's limp and cold body. The stranger wolf long gone. I howl a song of my heart to him: "My heart that bleeds because you left me. I wish you were here with me." I fall asleep next to Willow.

And then Shade is there. “You have to keep a bone of his with you. You two were mates and you shall be together forever,” Shade tells me we have to return or they will be suspicious. I say, "We have to bring Willow so they know he died nobly."

Shade nods and I pick Willow up. We head to the Ice Peak Flat. My fur smells of fear and agony.

Shade says "You and Willow need to wait here."

I nod sullenly. I look back to where we walked from and I can't see my now foreign land. I say to Willow, "This is my fault. All my fault."

Shade suddenly tells me to get up. I stand and then a broad wolf with snowy eyes and black fur asks, "Are you Koume?" I nod. He says, "I am Shadow of Sleet Pack. I want to know for one how Willow died and then why you want to join Sleet Pack. Depending on your answer I will decide."

I stand and say, "A strange wolf was going to kill Shade and I faced him. Then the wolf sank his teeth into my neck." I show him my blood stained fur and teeth marks. "And Willow saved me from dying. So it is my fault. The reason I want to join is because I've been a lone wolf since I was a pup. I met Willow when I was six moons old. We stayed together and played and 12 seasons ago he said he couldn't come see me anymore. But offered me to go see you to join the Pack. Yesterday he came at Low Moon East to hear my decision. I said yes and that's how everything happened."

Shadow ponders for a moment and then says "Come. We will give you the Warrior Mark Ceremony. You also need to keep at least one of Willow's bones. For you and him were mates and your souls shall always be together."We get to the pack and Shadow howls for the wolves to gather round. I hide behind him. Shadow says, "We have a new wolf in our territory. She saved our beloved Shade. We will say though she was victorious Willow had fallen through the ice of the Forlorn Sea. She is the mate of Willow. She wears his skull on her head so they can be with each other always and forever. I call Eathitous to shine his light on the she wolf."

A bright light comes down from the stars and moon. It shines on me. Then it's as if I disappear to a white wasteland then I see Willow walking up to me and he says, "you come here for me in your dreams and when you're scared. I will light your way with Eathitous."

Then I'm back and I have a beautiful mark in the middle of my chest. It was a spiked heart with thorns and a wolf paw in the middle. The other wolves gasp as my black fur turns white and the mark becomes blue, black and red.

The wolves look at me and see the new mark and my fur that was black now white. Shadow says, "You are now Koume Bladeheart of Three Forms. Speaking of that let's see your forms."

I then look worried but changed into my wolf crow form with my fur black. Again and the mark still there. I switch and then my body is engulfed in flames. The Alpha, Shadow looks scared. My mark is gone and a wolf attacks me in a vital part that would have killed me but then there's ash and I'm reborn. I turn back to my white wolf form.The Alpha says, "Silverfang are there any more dens?"

A blind wolf appears and says, "Yes there are 10 left."

Shadow nods and says "Can you show her? Wait nevermind. Sundust will you show her?"

A beautiful yellow wolf walks forward and says "I would gleefully show her to a den. Follow me Koume Bladeheart. Follow me."
We walk to a distant den and I say "Thank you." Then sit.

Her ears perk up and she says "I know the reason why you're here."

I look at Sundust and ask "Why am I here?"

She says, "You're here to... you are here to save our pack from Shadow."

My eyes go wide and I say, "What's wrong with Shadow?"

"He is an evil wolf. Don't trust him. Even if he says he trusts you NEVER trust him." Sundust says. I nod and walk into my den and I lay down and dream.

I see Shadow. His fur covered in blood. Wolves behind him are dead. Willow is in the distance saying, "You must kill Shadow."

I wake up in a heap of fur. It's a South Moon. I stand up and I hear Shadow howl for everyone to wake up and gather for the hunting party. I run into camp and skid to a stop. I am one of the first ones there. The blind wolf Silverfang is by the Alpha. The rest of the wolves are around them.

He nods. "One wolf had been trading information! I know who it is. If you step up you won't be killed," Shadow says.

Wolves start to murmur. Sundust steps up and says "I have told Outcast to stay out of the territory." I look at her and then I can feel my body being engulfed in flames and darkness.
