as I lay here looking up at the sky I realize that while everything invites me in, I must resist...
Nothing productive can come from this place of dreams,
As I gather my dreams in my pockets and leave on my own path the urge to turn to go back is stronger than ever...
But again, I must resist or risk getting pulled back in...
I understand now that this isn't the place I once thought it was,
This isn't the place of dreams, this isn't the place where dreams gather...
This is simply where dreams go to die...this is where all the lost dreams go to rest...
Even though the thought of giving up my dreams and not having to work or strive for anything tempts me, It's not worth it.
I still need something to keep me alive inside, I need a goal...
Just the thought makes me smile as I walk away...Why did it take me so long to figure it out?
