Flufferflies are born from a small egg that resembles a dust bunny. After they hatch, they remain in a larvae state for four weeks before they start spinning a cocoon. After the cocoon is finished, a process which usually takes two more weeks, metamorphosis lasts a month. After this month, the flufferfly emerges with a full grown set of wings, longer body, open eyes, and larger eyes. Growth deficits result in a smaller/longer than average body, more or less wings, shorter/folded ears, and unopened eyes.
These creatures are bred specifically in captivity, and can exhibit any range of colors, though most only have about five different colors. Larvae are the size of a kitten, the cocoons are about the size of a volleyball, and fully grown flufferflies are about the size of a large housecat. They are capable of flight, but are not able to stay in the air for long periods of time. Flufferflies enjoy pastries and sweets, with sugar being a necessity for a healthily life.
