After the 9th (Tuesday), no more Sylphies will be made.
I will be revamping the entire species, including the lines. This process may take anywhere from a week, to a month, maybe even more. As it stands, the staff listed will keep their positions unless they would like to leave, or I start new. Revalva and I will be working together to come up with a bigger and better Sylphie thread, so keep a lookout for any news.
PLEASE DO NOT post anymore Sylphies after the 9th. However, everyone is free to chat on this thread, just stay on topic and follow the rules at all times.
On a side note; To my artists and mods PLEASE BE MORE ACTIVE in the future. All artists who have not posted a Sylphie yet will be removed from the staff if they do not post one by the 9th. To all mods PLEASE BE MORE ACTIVE. Bump the topic, and if any questions are asked or any comments are made, please respond; we want everyone to feel welcome and for this species to be active, but we can't do that when our mods are not doing their jobs. This is the staff's last warning.
What exactly is a Sylphie?
Sylphies are furry, dragon-like creatures. They have elongated bodies and a broad chest that allows them to run at speeds of up to 60 mph. They have short front legs, and long hind legs, which causes their rump to rise above their shoulders. Many have horns that come in all shapes and sizes, and some don't have any horns at all.
When a Sylphie reaches adulthood (two years) they earn their charm. Their charm signifies the passing of their old life, and the beginning of a time of wisdom and experience.
Rules

➟ Do not spam this thread; if you are leaving a "marking" post, then put it as a complement. For example; "I really love this species!", etc.
➟ Do not ask to be a mod or artist; if I need staff, I will open applications myself.
➟ You may only have four Sylphies (subject to change)
➟ Do not ask for customs
➟ Do not mini-mod; I and the staff can take care of trouble-makers
➟ Sylphies can not be fursonas
➟ Do not bribe, whine or beg
➟ When gifting a Sylphie, make sure its new owner is responsible and is aware of the rules and responsibilities that come with owning a Sylphie.
➟ You may not sell or adopt-out unwanted Sylphies; if you do not want your Sylphie anymore, then contact its artist. If its artist is no longer a member of our staff, then contact me.
➟ Sylphies can only breed with other Sylphies; you may not breed them your self. Once the nursery is open, you can breed your Sylphies by filling out the form.
➟ Artists and Mods are aloud one custom each.
Rules for Growing
- ➟ One Sylphie year = one human month
➟ Sylphies become adults at two years old
➟ Once your Sylphie has reached its second year, you may PM its artist and they will transfer them to the adult lines. If its artist is no longer a staff member, then PM me or another artist to do it instead.
➟ Transferring your Sylphie is free of charge.
➟ Keep track of your Sylphies age! It is not our job to know the age of each and every Sylphie, sorry.
➟ Do not lie about your Sylphie's age; you WILL be caught and banned!
Re-adoption Rules
- ➟ When you no longer want your Sylphie, contact its artist and they will set it up for re-adoption. If their artist is no longer a staff member, then contact me.
➟ Runner-ups can not be given for re-adoptions.
➟ You are allowed to gift your Sylphie, just make sure they have read and understand the rules that come along with owning a Sylphie, and that they will take care of it.
➟ The former owner may help judge along with the artist. However, both the former owner and the artist must agree. If there are any arguments or you can't come to a conclusion, then I will step in and take over.
More About Sylphies

We desperately need some stamps and banners to get word out about Sylphies. If you want to use a Sylphie in a banner and do not own one, the you're more than welcome to use Choco'latte, the mascot for the adopts.
The banner needs to have something relating to Sylphies, may it be a Sylphie, charms, or say "Sylphie Adopts". These will be made for fun, but if I see one that has a lot of effort put in to it (like complex animation), then you may get yourself a custom Sylphie!
