Response to Redline Request

It has been a loooong time since I've drawn anything, so my mouse control is...lacking. Sorry!

RED:
The snout should be a little longer (it wasn't working very well for me, so I just drew an arrow instead)

Their noses are not triangles

Their ears are actually not as big as you'd think, and those are more like triangles; think huskey :)

The eyes are actually kind of slanted, in that the top should follow the line of the forehead and bridge of the snout.

Wolves are very furry, which becomes really apparent in places where the body bend, like joints.

Legs are not perfectly straight (right front)

paws have 4 toes, and more often than not you can see some part of both middle ones (please excuse my paws...I am still working on this point)

Wolves have nails, and rather long ones at that.

Their tails aren't quite that poofy :)

PURPLE:
no Dewclaws on the hind legs. (there are dewclaws on the inside fore legs, though)

The knee is actually a bit higher than that, about where the leg passes the stomach (there is a difficult to see arrow pointing to where the knee should be)

BLUE:
The circle on the head is the one I usually use to draw the cheek; notice how it fits nicely by the "cheek hair"

The chest area should be larger than the waist, because that is where the ribcage is. I drew the rough location and position of the ribcage and shoulder blade. and showed the resulting shape of the body.

Because the shoulder blade is so far up, it can sometimes cause a bump in the skin, especially if the head is low. You should have the shoulder line follow along the shape of the shoulder blade.

A lot of the things I mentioned were nit picks, and not really applicable if you're going for a more cartoonish style. the BIG things to work on though, are the placement of the knee, the shape of the shoulder, and the shape of the body. I would suggest looking at wolf skeletons, it will help a lot!

Overall it looks quite good :)
