What Are D'Landos?
D'Landos are odd creatures. With the head of an eagle, and body of a slender, large feline. Sporting long, feathered legs. A roach like mane, and short, flowing mane for a tail. Named after the man that founded and captured the first few creatures, Nathan D'Lando. These creatures, for a long time were used around livestock instead of horses. Their large size and loyalty to humans made them excellent animals for pets.
The Outbreak of '69
D'Landos were known as loving, caring side companions for many families and farms in the 1900's. However around 1950-69, an outbreak of a rare virus that only effected D'Landos began to spread rapidly. This virus infected the brain function of a D'Lando, causing them to hallucinate and 'go insane'. They became unruly and snappy. Fearing that the creatures may bring great harm, humans began a mass murder of these creatures. Those that were healthy fled, reproduced within the wild, and continued to live wild.
Some Must Know Facts
*D'Landos are about 13-14 feet at the shoulder.
*D'Landos weigh about 300-500lbs
*The difference between male and female are the sizes/weights (Males are on the larger end)
*Average lifespan 80-100 years (1-15: Childhood, 16-30: Young Adult, 31-50: Adult, 51-80/100: Elder)
*They feed on fruits or rodents
*Coloring of a D'Lando can be any natural/neutral colors (With designs including stripes or spots) OR D'Landos can sport Cat colors/markings and Horse colors/markings.

*D'Landos adopted from the pound are NOT breedable. But you may add items to them (As they are now claimed)
