~About Little Woodstar Lynx ~
a Little Woodstar Lynx is very rare, they live in subtropical forests, and suffer greatly from habitat loss. They are about the size of a house cat. They also have a feathery tail, which becomes enchanted with a power when they are about 1 year old, their power reflects there personality, for example if a Little Woodstar Lynx is compassionate and loving, they may have the power to take away problems and soothe the soul, a Little Woodstar Lynx's colors also often reflect their personality, most are born containing 3-4 different colors in their coats, and to tell the truth, sometimes they don't look all that attractive as babes, but I assure you that they are the most beautiful things as adults.
~why this name?~
Little Woodstar Lynx, sounds sort of peculiar doesn't it? Well the Little Woodstar part is because of the little woodstar hummingbird that each one obtains about 6 months after birth, you can read more about this in the next section. The lynx part is because they evolved from a species of lynx and still retain many of the lynx like features, except for their tail of corse. Then if you take out the woodstar part you are left with Little Lynx, which also fits the creature perfectly because of their small size.
~About Little Woodstars~
Little Woodstars are the type of bird that give a Little Woodstar Lynx it's power, the Little Woodstar is also the lynx's life companion. The 6 month old Lynx will go on a journey to find a Little Woodstar hummingbird as sort of a coming of age ceremony. Each 6 month old Lynx scavenges the forest alone to find an egg of a Little Woodstar hummingbird, an egg that is about to hatch. Once the egg is found, the Little Woodstar Lynx will wait by the egg to make sure that the the Lynx is the first thing the hatching bird sees when it opens it's eyes. That way, the bird will be loyal to the Lynx. The Little Woodstar hummingbird will give the lynx a power when the lynx is 1 year old.
