Once upon a time, for this is a story that begins with once upon a time, there was a kingdom. It was happy and prosperous, ruled by a benevolent couple. In fact, the queen was about to have her first child, a daughter and heir to the throne.

I actually think this story won't have any romance in it. Any other story like this, I think it would make an appearance, but I took some pains not to let myself put it in this story (read: main male character is foster brother of main character) because I think I would have trouble fitting it in, and if I did put a romantic sub-plot in I would have a hard time making it GOOD. In other words, it would be extra and not mesh well with the rest of the story.

It is definitely in the post-comic future of my main character, though...
