Ashes to Ashes

Postby ~Pogo~ » Sun Mar 03, 2013 2:13 pm

This was just going to be some simple portrait practice, but then I started sketching some animal skulls for some freaky reason and then this happened. Aw well, but I really like this concept. I almost considered making the figure a skeleton, but I like him being fleshed out better. I really have no idea where this idea came from it's so surreal and kinda spooky ;^;

the skulls are suposed to be a wolf, a rabbit, a cat, and a deer. I also intended for there to be a bird, but I ran out of room.

Drawing details-
layers in use: 12
main tool(s) used: watercolor.
Drawn with: mouse
Time: timer's accurate
style: semi-realism
background: I don't think there is one
Inspiration: I wish I knew

if you have any questions about my art, like how I did something, feel free to ask C:

Dear gosh you're making it difficult not to comment on your artworks. I swear I'm going to start commenting on every one you make. uvu
I'm still trying to wrap my head around your use of colors. They truly are wonderful! I love how the dark, dramatic shadows contrast against the brighter colors.
The title reminds me of a song by my brother's friend. :b

Wow, this is really good! It looks like a graffiti work, and the way you worked in the skulls looks really good c:

@Zisona- XD thank you!

@Sydney- wow, thanks! I really like to drip colors in my traditional work, so I try to do that in my digital work.
