I lay in the Alpha's den, and saw a black scarred wolf walk in.
“She’s gone.” He growled. “My Shika. My love.” He spat, standing in front of me.
“Why was she so special to you? Why did she even pick you as her mate?” I responded, looking up at him with copper eyes. Tears started to form as I thought of Shika, the white she-wolf with deep blue markings, then imagined her starry outline.
“That’s a stupid question, Kelsey,” The male wolf rasped, snapping me out of my thoughts. “she was the best to me. The only one I loved. No one can replace her. She loved me the same.”
“Yeah, okay. Are any pups alive?” I asked, annoyed. His face was more soaked then mine, and his blood red eyes seem to glisten with hatred for the Healer.
“Forrest still has a cousin.” He responded, his tail drooping not only with respect for me, the Alpha Female, but with sadness.
“Only one, hm? Well, at least Forrest won’t be alone with my pups already adults leading their own packs.” I said, remembering my two sons and daughter.
“Yes. Zeventa.” He said, his necklace swaying back and forth every time sad howls came from the den entrance and he looked up to see.
“Does she have a full name, like you?” I questioned, having payback for how stupid he was being. Hm, Zeventa? What kind of name was that?
“Zeventa Na Maura.” He said, and I literally thought his tongue twisted. Hey, isn't that his last name with an r and his middle name with an N?
“Why didn’t she take the name of Forrest’s father, your brother?” I said, sitting up and looked at him. He had a deep hatred for his nephew Forrest's father, his littermate and rival.
“He did nothing to save her! He couldn’t save my Shika! He doesn’t deserve to be named after!” He snarled as I lay back down. I was restless since I was probably going to birth my mate's pups again.
“Yes, he did! He wasted probably all of his herbs to stop ‘your Shika’s’ bleeding!” I snarled back. How disrespectful towards the past Alpha's daughter to argue! Never mind that, argue with the Alpha's pup period!
“No, he didn’t! He’s just worthless!” He went on, and I thought he didn't hear me.
“Worthless? Fine, then kill him, his apprentice was mentioned pack healer!” I snapped, ending the arguement as fast as it started. Giving him the idea of killing his brother make a smirk run across his face.
“Fine! Then I will kill him.” He sneered, looking at me, his blood red eyes going from sad to evilly joyful.
“Go and kill him, Nzuri.” I said, and watched him start to walk out of the den.
Nzuri stopped and turned to face me again. “Call me by my full name for a few days.”
“Nzuri Ya Maua, good look with your killing.” I said, dipping my head to the lead Hunter.
Nzuri Ya Maua dipped his head back and came out of the entrance, and called to me.
“Thank you. I will make sure Naguto Su Magati does not come home if it’s the last battle I fight.”
