Lumiletts are a strange, bio-luminescent species... Imagine you are walking through a forest. It is dark, and only the light of the stars are there to guide you. Then, you see it. A glimmering light peeking out of one of the bushes. A small creature, about the size of a small dog with its large ears reaching up to the height of your knee, hops into your path. It blinks once and flicks its tail before hopping back into the underbrush and vanishing.
That was a Lumirett.
Lumiretts are a forest-dwelling species that are friendly and fairly easily tamed. In the wild, they live in groups called Clusters. They are omnivores in that they love fruits, vegetables, nuts, and fish. They do not eat steak, and only chicken in desperate situations. They have been known to guide lost travelers back to campsites using their tail lights as a guide by sticking them straight up like a beacon. That "wisp," as they are called, above their backs is not a wing. It is more of a decoration and is used to attract other Lumiretts. The wisp is always the same color as the glow.

Based on An emerald but kind of went wacky with the colors.

Spearmint is, well, spearmint-y. She's sharp, both in tongue and in mind-- she's awfully intelligent and learns rapidly. She also is a master of cutting-edge humor and will use bitingly sarcastic remarks a lot of the time. She always makes it obvious that she's being sarcastic so that nolumi's feelings are hurt, however. Her favorite season is winter and she likes to be out and active, especially in cool weather. When it's hot she often feels rather lethargic a lot of the time. She's proactive and loves helping others, revealing her minty-sweet side. Sometimes she tries to help a little too much and ends up sounding bossy, but she can't help it really. She just wants other Lumis to know the same things she does! She likes to sing, act, knit(with her paws? xD), and fold paper cranes and is never seen not chewing her spearmint gum or sucking on starlight mints.
Funny Quirk:
Spear, as some call her, has a tendency to hum/sing tidbits of lyrics to songs. She'll do this whenever an interesting point comes up in a conversation, to provide light relief, or to encourage a downcast friend in a musical way. For instance, once she sang "Don't you worry your pretty little mind, people throw rocks at things that shine" to a friend who had been bullied (Taylor Swift, "Ours"). She'll also melodify snatches of conversation she picks up. This can be amusing, especially as no other Lumirett does this.

Very bright Lumirett, her mind always rolling and continually learning. Elamaria is very good around people, and easy to communicate with and hold a conversation with. Elamaria tends to not get upset very often, she is very good at keeping her cool and thinking logically before taking action. Though, occasionally she can blow her top and come after you, blinded by her rage, but she settles down quickly and most often turns to being mad to sad since she lost her cool. All in all, Elamaria is a very nice Lumirett, definitely one you would want to spend your time with and gain friendship with her.
Funny Quirk:
Not so much a quirk you can say, but Elamaria has obsessive-compulsive-disorder (OCD)
She has to double-check things to make sure they have been done, or things are perfectly in place.
If she doesn't double check things, it eats at her mind and worries her until she breaks in and checks it, even though she knows she already did what needed to be done. If something is not rightly in place, she can't stop thinking about it.

Oz isn't quiet or loud. He isn't handsome or ugly. Oz simply is. Well, perhaps these should be in past, eh? Oz, as a young child, never was much to ponder over. He was a see through kind of child; the kind that students and teachers alike would ignore. This, over time, picked at Oz's little mind. He decided to become something amazing. Oz did a complete 360, learning charisma, humor, and skill. Nowadays, Oz is a very popular young man. Oz is funny; always cracking sarcastic or witty jokes (occasionally a pun or two even!). He is also very intellectual... for an uneducated creature! Oz has a certain intelligence that comes from logic, observation, and conclusion drawing. This allows him to appeal, and talk with, people of any social background.
Funny Quirk: Something most people find interesting about Oz is his favorite little hobby. Not unlike his namesake, Oz is a magician. He specializes in extreme illusions and levitation. Levitation acts are his favorite. Oz had learned these skills in an effort to become interesting; since child-hood, he has honed these skills into weapons of charisma! At an point in time, Oz will have a little parlor trick in his leather pouch (of wonder!)

Personality: Minto is a self-reliant busy little bee. She always has something to occupy her. If she doesn't she gets terribly fidgitty and restless. She is very hard-working and follows through on everything she says she will, she doesn't believe in telling any sort of mis truth. Sometimes she can be a bit blunt to others feelings but never on purpose, she's just like that by nature. Quite often she prefers being alone, she is better off solitary. Working alone, playing alone, just being alone. She often thinks of others as annoying or strange. She is quite a vain little lumi, she knows she is beautiful and loves to flaunt it, she does not like others who don't agree with that. Minto is generally very friendly and optomistic.
Funny Quirk: Minto is obsessed with tigers.
It occurred to her one day she had striped just like one, and likes to think of herself as being like a tiger. She growls when she is angry (on purpose) she has loads of tiger related plushes and books, she talks about them constantly. She always dresses as a tiger for costume times, and even sometimes wishes she was orange.

"Ugh!" She turns, and starts to pack up her belongings, as if she is going to leave her painting unfinished. Then she straps the bag on her shoulder, turns her head, and walks off. Then, after a few seconds, she comes back and starts to work again.

She's a pack-rat! She keeps everything in her little art bag.

"I am not!" Her green pelt made it easier to see the shades of pink forming on her cheeks.

She loves graffiti! It's her passion. But, she knows the rules, and she only paints on property of her own, or on property she has permission from the owner to paint on. Like murals and stuff. Her favorite place to paint is an old, abandoned garage where cars got painted. Her granddaddy owned it, and when he passed, the garage was given to her. She doesn't use it for the cars, but she uses it as a graffiti castle.

He gets teased about it often, but he doesn't let it bug him! ouo Not a big talker, he tends to be quiet and likes to be out of the spotlight, and does whatever possible to stay that way. He hates attention. He enjoys spending time in his garden, taking care of his sprouts! He doesn't have very many other Lumirette friends, most of his friends are animals.
Funny Quirk: When he sleeps, he snores SO loud, that it rattles the tree branches... It is especially bad during fall! So it isn't the seasons that cause those leaves to fall off... No siree! It is Talos, snoring in his burrow.

Personality: Tyde enjoys structure. He is careful and methodical, analytical, and plans his day to the T. Tyde is incredibly OCD when it comes to schedules. He must have a plan for the day and if anything gets disrupted from the original plan, he gets very upset. He is very rooted in tried and true ways of doing things and is incredibly hesitant to change. Change is frightening, new, untested, and in Tyde's mind, very bad. He can be horribly stubborn and is very set in his ways. Trying to change Tyde's mind is like trying to move a mountain. He loves to read and finds creative outlet in writing poetry, which he is horribly secretive and embarrassed about and never shows anyone. Most would probably call him a bit a nerd.

Funny Quirk: He has a horrible addiction to honey and blueberries. He will even resort to thievery in order to attain them and is more than happy to risk getting stung in order to collect some honeycomb to satisfy his sweet tooth.
