S h o r t S t o r y ; Sometime in the afternoon, a few onlookers catch the sight of a rather strange looking dog as it darts between the ongoing traffic, its movement too deft and precise for its body to be marred by the passing cars. Along its tail, a thin cord is wrapped, binding a glowing jewel to the dog's every move. Of these pedestrians none take the time to wonder about the stray's history, nor an explanation for its bizarre appearance. They move on, forgetting her as if she were nothing worthy of attention after all.
Keziah, the subject of their dim curiosity, sighs as she hops with little effort onto the curbside, randomly choosing a direction and trotting along, her tail swinging behind her carelessly. She spent many days like this; wandering. She had little else to do; no friends to speak of that were alive, anymore. It was much too difficult to survive in this rancid, stinking city anyways. But it was not like she had any other option.

W h y ; Her design is so beautiful; I'd love to adopt her and make her one of my major characters. ^^ She'd also be fun to draw!

short story: I woke up as I felt a sudden jolt of electricity course through my body. Adrenaline rushed up and I let out a shriek as I jumped. Or tried to. I was in a slimy, jell-o like greenish substance, but I could still breath. I scanned my surroundings with my bewildered eyes. I shook my head. Instead of being black and white, my vision had a reddish tinge. I gasped as I saw two human beings in white lab coats goggling at me. "It's alive..." one gasped hoarsely. I frowned. "huh? whatesed(what he said- wet-ee-séd)? " "water head missiles activated." said a smooth, feminine voice in my head. "WHAT?????" I shrieked, as my paws went suddenly up and two missiles with blue heads came out. They moved slowly through the jelly thing, but the humans were shrieking and taking cover. The second the tips of the missiles touched the surface of the tube I was imprisoned in, there was a blast. I felt water rushing through my fur. Then, nothing.

short story: I sniffed the air tentatively. Was it safe to come out? I pushed at the clumsy wood lock. I smirked as it fell down on the ground with a dull thunk. I then gently reached out with a paw and swiped a few oily leaves from a near by bush. I rubbed them hard on the hinges of the door. They squeaked like mice,and this was my only escape chance; if I missed this, iron cage for me. After the whole door was slippery and oily, I tentatively pushed. It gave way, but at the same time, I felt some get onto my paws. When I put them down, I slipped and slid. "Whoaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!' I shrieked as I sailed down the road. I whizzed past homes where people were waking and staring out the window. I finally got a control over myself, licked the oil off, and ran. My purchasers had a recognizable advantage, as my sledding had waked up the whole block. But I swiftly ran until they were out of sight.

short story: I growled and snapped. Then I jumped. Tossed and turned. Bit, scratched, howled, bashed, yelped, tore. Finally, it was too much. I staggered, then growled. I gave a last jump, and slammed my opponent to the ground. The other dog whined and licked my chin. "And make sure I shan't find you there again." growled Demon.That's me. I staggered away, panting and gasping, towards the river I knew. I basked in the warm water and watched it slowly turn a maroon color. The few cuts stung, but I finally got out and shoo out my brown fur. I licked it perfect then trotted off. I finally arrived at the lake. There she was. Lexie. She smiled sweetly at me, and we both sat down. Then the fireflies slowly started coming in. Soon, colors and shapes danced in the night. Lexie sighed happily and buried her head in my neck. I wrapped my paw around her, and she soon fell asleep.
