Kangaroo Cats are a feline type species from the planet of Guardajio. They grow to about the size of a rabbit, and live in many different habitats across the planet. Though shy and timid, they are extremely friendly towards human visitors to the planet- as though they sense we are not a threat.
They are carnivores, and their main prey are the various rat creatures that live on the planet.
They are named kangaroo cats after the strong hind legs which they bounce about on, like a kangaroo or a rabbit. This makes them extremely difficult to catch, though this is not their strongest adaptation.
Their tail is their main feature in helping them survive the harsh climates of Guardajio. It acts as both a shelter and a camouflage device. It is long enough that they can hide inside it; the colours so well matched to their environment that they are almost invisible- unless you're looking!
The body patterns seem to be completely unrelated to the tail; the only connection zoologists can find between the tail colour and the body patterns is that they are aesthetically pleasing to the human eye. Obviously, this can't be the case, and they are looking for a different explanation.

The most important thing to remember when adopting a Kangaroo cat is that they are wild animals and don't always want to go with an owner. Each cat is unique and different to the others. We strive to match the best Cat to an owner.This is why, we at the Kangaroo Cat adoption centre have created a form to see which Kangaroo Kitty is right for which human!
