Favorurite thing about him:
Well, for starters, I love the faint brindling. It reminds me very much of a finger print, and is definately a unique marking.
The very light blue horn tips are perfect. It compliments the black and white wonderfully.
His champagne eyes are simply gorgeous! They make a lovely contrast with the light blue in his horns and mane. Which brings me to the next part I love about this guy.
The slight touch of light blue blended into his mane is absolutely wonderful!
He has a slight touch of mysteriousness to him, and it really pulled me in.
He has an overall gorgeous appearance, and I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if I hadn't made an attempt at getting him. <3
B.K name:
Voltaire
Any meaning behind the name?:
Voltaire is the nom de plume of the French elightenment writer, historian, and philosopher, François-Marie Arouet.
Age:
Five
Gender:
Male
Height:
15.5 hh
Personality:
Eccentric-Intelligent
Voltaire is quite gifted intellectually, though a bit eccentric. His behavior is usually somewhat less than normal, though if someone were to confront him about it he would reply rather emphaticaly that his behavior was quite normal.
He percieves the world in a much different way than other Kelpies. Instead of staying deep within the safety of the Bayou, he tends to be found skirting the edge, observing humans the way a human might observe a herd of horses.
Reserved-Socially Awkward
Despite his eccentricities, Voltaire can tend to be a bit reserved, if not awkward, when conversing with other kelpies.
If you were to observe him while he studied humans, or while he made some sort of experiment involving toads and moss (Don't ask), then you would see his normal personality. But if you were to observe him in a herd of other kelpies, you would more than likely find him standing awkwardly at the edge, taking special intrest in the dirt beneath his hooves.
Voltaire tends to preffer being alone with his toads, as he finds it far easier to think.
Caring-Protective
Voltaire is a very caring stallion, though he has unusual, sometimes awkward, ways of showing it.
If her were to meet a mare he took a special intrest in, he would more than likely act just as awkwardly around her as he would a herd of kelpies.
When Voltaire cares about someone, he defends them fiercely. He usually isn't one to fight, but if the need should arise, he would thoughtlessly defend his friends and loved ones.
Questions, 1: What is my WME called?: Fabré
2: Who is Hunter's (my bayou kelpie) sister?: Ash
3: Do you really want this B.K? Give reasons: Oh goodness yes! He's absolutely stunning! My first thought when I saw him was, "He and Winter Dreams will have many lovely babies!"
I just love brindling, and he's so unique! I'm absolutely in love with him. <3
4: What will you do with him?: I haven't done much character art lately, but I've been planning to get some done soon.
I also plan to open a characters thread in the art gallery section of the forum. I will list my BKs and other adopted characters.
As mentioned above, I would certainly be breeding this guy with my mare, Winter Dreams.
I'm still thinking on it, but I might even put him in the BK role play.
Find me a picture of one of the showjumps (as in the obstacle, not the competitor) from the Olympics last year:
