The Hatching

Postby Velveteen Unicorn » Thu Jan 17, 2013 2:03 am

Opinions and critique welcome... added glisten to the hatching but not sure what else is needed..?

Hopes to one day have something good enough to be moved to Intermediate... just not quite good enough and hard to do much better using the small touchpad/touchmouse on my lil mini laptop.

Would appreciate any tips or suggestions that could and would help improve the end result for a better finished piece.

I think this is good. I like the way everything looks all nice and detailed, (even the dragon), but maybe have the egg with some shadows and shines? It just stands out a little with the way everything looks all cool and realistic but the egg still looks 2D.
Again, really cool drawing though^^

Thank you... I will work on some shading to make the egg a little more 3D

I think the hatchling looks a bit crammed into the egg. Otherwise, amazing!

I am wondering ... when emerged, will it be a tess dragon or a malk dragon?

Most things look crammed into the egg when hatching. A hatching chicken looks like it should have had all its bones broken and there is NO way it would fit inside the egg lol.
Hatching ducks actually look worse than hatching chickens.
