- I expected times like this, knowing the great probability made them inevitable. But, I never expected them to be so horrible, so prolonged, and so often. I had foolishly convinced myself that one day, they would halt their efforts to end our lives, and we would not have to run any longer. It was obvious that I was drastically mistaken, as it certainly seems as if we will never be safe again.
Three have already been killed, and our hopes of survival are rapidly diminishing. It appears that there is no way for any of us to ever lead a normal life, no way to live without the fear that they are drawing near, to kill us. I do not believe we can evade them forever, as they are exceptionally skilled in murder - including finding their victims. We must strike back, or we will die.
