1st Drawing: Boy in the Window

Postby Noel » Sat Jan 12, 2013 2:17 pm

    Hey look aibo7m3, I'm drawing! ^_^
    >Aibo convinced me to start trying to draw, and it was fun. This is my first attempt at drawing on a computer, so it's bad, and the timer is sadly not off at all. ^^; Done with a laptop touchpad.

Any crit at all and/or advice on how to use this strange 'chibipaint' will be much appreciated. c:

The boy in the window is from a little story of mine.
Excerpt Rehash wrote:Two years ago today I threw open the curtains
And saw him there, the boy made of wind.
He was everything I could want
He was my best friend, and I smiled every day.
A year ago today, we made a promise
As I can't walk, he would fly for both of us
Since I can't leave this room, he would go everywhere but this room
And because I can smile with him, he would smile with me too
Today, we are still keeping that promise.

See Hikari, I told you that you could draw online. This is really adorable. ^^ I don't think I've ever heard of this story before from you, but it sounds pretty. I can do a Join.Me sometime if you want tips on using Oekaki.

It looks like fail. xD I rushed the boy himself, which is part of it. I'll tell you the story during school, like, Monday. ^^

And yes, the livestream would be hugely appreciate. o_o I don't have time today though.

Pfft, this drawing is at least much better than my first Oekaki. I was idiotic enough to post things before I knew how to use the program. This is cute though, it's not a fail and it's great for your first real Oekaki drawing.
Alright, I look forward to hearing it. ^^

Yep, as long as I'm not overwhelmed with homework at the time (which I most likely will be), I'll be able to do a Join.Me of how I draw on Oekaki and show you how to use all of the tools and settings.

What makes you think I know how to use the program? xD
I think it's a fail, but the compliment coming from you is much appreciated. ^^ I really oughta get better at using this 'smoothening' tool you seem to suggest so highly. You can just see my hands being all shaky and unsure trying to draw lines on there. xD

Maybe sometime tomorrow? c: I have tons of work too, so maybe not, but eh. ^^;

You'll just have to accept the fact that your art is adorable whether you want to or not. I can't draw at all without smoothing set to 98%, so I completely understand where you're coming from at not being able to draw without it.

Tomorrow would be fine if you have time. I do have a history paper to write, but it shouldn't take too long to give you a run through of the program and I'll be drawing then anyway.

I had it set to 94% through most of the main lines, 75% for smaller things. ^^; and it was still difficult. Shaky hands are awful.
And it is not adorable.

Alright. ^_^ With luck I'll have time.
