The Society
Lieutenant Tark.:.The brown tabby in the front.:.Tark was a Lieutenant for the police in the Society, which was the only real tamed area in the book's world. He had fallen for Katrina, but she was killed by the Kobras. His best friend was Officer Longwing.
Officer Longwing.:.The white and ginger tabby with a long tail beside Tark.:.Longwing was an officer for the police in the Society and Tark's partner. His mate was Sonjyay and Tark was his best friend.
Katrina.:.The dark and light grey cat at the back left.:.Katrina was a beautiful, bold young cat in the Society. She fell in love with Tark, but was caught and killed by the Kobras. She was the Kobras first victim.
Maxis.:.The gold and brown tabby near the back.:.Maxis was the mate of Lirana, but he had been killed by the Kobras. He was the second victim and was the start of a chain of deaths that started 3 months after Katrina's death.
Lirana.:.The white cat with a blue collar near the back.:.Lirana was Maxis's mate. She was the one who reported him going missing. She was later killed by the Kobras when she and Loric went to investigate the Kobras' traps and test their boundaries.
Sonjyay.:.The grey cat near the back left.:.Sonjyay is Longwing's mate. She was expecting his kits when the killings began, and was one of the bravest to plunge into battle with no training.
Loric.:.The bright orange tabby behind Longwing & Tark.:.Loric was Zara's mate, and was the one that reported Zara's murder. He had been there, and Kobra and Snakk had been there as well, taunting him as he tried to save Zara, which was one reason he didn't get to her in time. He was later killed when he joing Lirana to test the boundaries of the Kobras and to check their traps.
Zara.:.The black cat behind Tark.:.Zara was Loric's mate. She had been caught in one of the Kobras' traps, and had died before Loric could save her.
Mintsau.:.The black and white kit infront of Tannor.:.Mintsau's father was Tannor. She had spotted the traps, and accidentily lured her father into one of the traps. Caimen had been snapped out of the dead-emotioned state Kobra had put her in, and had scared Mintsau away before any of the Kobras could get to her.
Tannor.:.The white and black tabby in the center back.:.Tannor was Mintsau's father, and sold things at the black market. Mintsau had seen something shining on their way there, and Tannor went to help her find it and accidentily got caught in one of the Kobras' traps and died.
Skoll.:.The leopard spotted cat near the back left.:.Skoll was only a teenager when he died. He had been caught by the Kobras, and was forceably killed by the security set up the Kobras had, and his death had tortured Caimen.
The Kobras
King Kobra.:.The black snake-eyed cat near the front right. He was the infamous leader of the Kobras, and had named the murderous group after himself. He was the head of the beast and held a dictatorship over the Kobras, and had wanted to hold that same dictatorship over the whole Society with his murderous group. Even though he oversaw every death caused by the Kobras, he held a reputation of never injuring or killing a cat. He set up the traps along the path to the black market, which was outside the Society's protective boundaries.
Snakk.:.The brown cat with a scared face at the front right.:.Snakk was considered the "right-hand Kobra". He was one of the main cats that did Kobra's dirty work for him. He had never been quite right in the head, and for some unknown reason, something Kobra did not program into him, was the only thing he knew in his brain was that he had to honor Kobra.
Break.:.The three-legged cat at the back right with a scar on his neck.:.Break had always been the only Kobra that was willing to break rank and was plotting against them while on the inside. He had been chased into an alley by the Kobras in the Society, and right before he was killed, Kobra forced him to join the Kobras. The fur on his back was deformed while he got a nasty scar across his neck, changing his voice, and lost his back right leg that day. He rescued Caimen, and fell in love with her. She was the one that indirectly convinced him they needed to escape from the Kobras.
Caimen.:.Black cat in the back right with metal twisted on her back paw.:.Caimen's back right leg was caught in the Kobra's trap, but she was able to break out of it. She then met Break, a Kobra, but when she woke up after he knocked her unconcious she found herself far away from the Society. She found her way back, and Snakk caught her and him. Break saved her when Kobra was about to kill her, and Caimen was forced to become a Kobra. She become emotion-dead until Break snapped her out of it, and she convinced him they had to escape the Kobras.
